I assume the med staff is confident Watson will be able to return to normal this season, otherwise it’d be a crime to leave this season in PJ walkers hands.
-
He sucked bad enough to be demoted for walker.
-
I agree though Seattle would be tough for the rookie. PJ walker sees the field about as well as Stevie wonder. DTR has more room for growth. can’t believe this FO didn’t get a rental veteran after DTR Baltimore nightmare. Was the perfect time, going into the bye…very lucky the last 2 went our way. Watson has missed too many games for them not to pickup one of the FAs

And just confirmed it’s Walker again on Sunday.
-
Yea I think that’s what happened Sunday, it looked obvious to me on his very first throw the motion was off. Which was a short easy drag route. Which is why I’m not in the “he’s a pussy who doesn’t wanna play” camp yet.

And MRI from Monday shows he didn’t injure his shoulder more on Sunday. https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/sports/pro/browns/2023/10/24/deshaun-watsons-mri-shows-no-further-damage-qbs-shoulder-report-nfl-injury-colts-pj-walker/71307200007/

The press on it has been very confusing. Contusion, strain, micro tears (?). Medically cleared but not playing. Very minor rotator cuff injuries (probably like the one Watson has) should take 2-6 weeks to heal. Anything more than minor, and he'd probably be done for 6-12 months. I'm not yet in the "he's just a bitch who doesn't wanna play camp", as I think his throwing motion did look not very natural in his brief appearance on Sunday. Definitely looked like he adjusted his motion to compensate for some pain.

Idk what to think, just win. We could easily be 2-4 if some things went differently the last 2 weeks. Can’t expect to get the lucky breaks every week, need a QB that can throw. In Seattle will be tough
-
At least we have a QB dumpster fire at 4-2 instead of 2-4 this year.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be thrilled if they got Jacoby back. The FO should have been shopping QBs after the first quarter DTR played. As the commanders hopes keep dwindling, they should be happy to part with Brisset for a low pick (5th?) This FO really needs to be on the phones with QBs, otherwise Sunday may be a write off with PJ in Seattle. Besides trading for Brisket, there are plenty of FAs that should be able to outplay PJ Walker. (Foles, Wentz, Ryan?, Flacco, McCoy)

Brisket fits in well to stefanskis offense, though bringing him back will make fans even more hostile to Deshaun if he finally starts playing again. But what would be a browns season without people demanding the backup. After all, some did demand DTR after week 1. That’d be amplified x 100 with brisket.

I think kevsky play calling was great today. The ford muffed pitch was perfect given the defense scheme, lots of runs. PJ walker is atrocious at actually seeing receivers. I gotta think there’s a free agent out there who can at least throw it in the direction of wide open guys. edit: for the love of god bring in a quarterback berry. There’s better guys on the street

Do I feel bad about the ticky tack foul.........
