  1. I run a Kubernetes super cluster that hosts numerous of my open source projects. I'd be willing to help get it deployed/updated/maintained free of charge.
  2. They probably won't make any decision until the start of the new league year, is my guess.
  3. Phillips runs a one-gap 3-4 base defense, which "in general" looks closer to a 4-3 in terms of personnel. So I don't think there would be any need to get up in arms about switching to a 3-4.
  4. Before the wild card games, people were talking about how the Vikings might release Zimmer and promote stefanski if they got blown out because they love stefanski and didn't wanna see him go. Now people hate the hire and Vikings fans couldn't care less to see him go. Interesting how the rumors and perception changed.
  5. Don't love it but don't hate it either. His offense is uninspiring but will have to see who he chooses for assistants. Players seem to like him at least. McDaniels seemed overhyped as other teams didn't even interview him, probably wanted more control.
  6. Our d-line really, really struggled. Any QB could have had a solid game with the time Hodges had every time he dropped back. Our young corners need to learn to play the ball Redwine had some positive flashes As far as offense, Baker looked pretty solid, but he was off the mark on some critical throws. Baker got beat up pretty good and everyone is complaining about the offensive line (Hubbard did suck pretty bad) - but Pittsburgh has one of the best defenses in the NFL - especially their front 7 Freddie still does dumb things - like the awful game management at the end of the first half, getting the ball after a huge turnover on the Pittsburgh 38 and bombing it every play - run the damn ball Freddie. Our run game was pretty solid considering how solid Pittsburgh's front is, seems like we got away from it way too early. 9-7 is still enough to keep us in the playoff race, but the odds are pretty slim. I didn't expect us to finish 5-0, but I really wanted them to win this one

Apparently Wilson and juju are friends...juju even commented on the post Worth adding that context probably
  8. Based on the way Mason has played, him not being suspended may be the best punishment for the Steelers

6 games and a hefty fine sounds about right to me, it sucks losing him but can't argue with whatever punishment the NFL hands down.

Garrett is an idiot and will get the longest suspension in NFL history for an on-field incident. I couldn't believe it when I saw it live, and I had the biggest facepalm ever. Just get up there's 8 fucking seconds left. Anyway, the Steelers are probably thrilled that they don't have to face Garrett in 2 weeks now.
  11. Props to Freddie for actually using Hunt in the game plan, I didn't really have high hopes for him. Still think we ran the ball way too little, but it was good to see Freddie got him involved.
  12. He's playing better, which is good. He got bailed out on a couple passes that could have been game breakers yesterday, most notably in the 4th where he lobbed it into double coverage but the two bills players ran into each other. Overall the offense is looking better.
  13. Pretty hard to pick the best ones. Three best: Mangini, Williams, Crennell? Worst: kitchens, Jackson, shurmur Some like Pettine and chud are hard to judge because of how short their tenure was. Crennell has had success in the NFL as a DC so that's mainly why he's in my list, even though he was a meh head coach. Shurmur has also had some success elsewhere in the NFL, but he's in my worst because he was as lifeless of a head coach as you can get - shurmurball is something I won't forget. Kitchens is also hard to coin as the worst one, because he's a rookie and has the potential to get better - but based on what I've seen so far he's the worst head coach we've had since 99', hopefully we can chalk it up as "growing pains" and he goes on to have a long and successful career for the browns though...
  14. Depends on how the coach decides to fit him into the game plan, so I'm pretty doubtful he'll make a difference.
  15. I gotta put Freddie up there with worst coaches the browns have had since 99', maybe the worst - even Hue would have been better. We took a Gamble and lost, it could have worked, but unfortunately it didn't. What we're seeing is more severe than simple rookie growing pains, the guy is clearly years away from being ready to be a HC. Let it ride and cut our losses at the end of the year, I'd bet a case of beer on somebody else being named head coach come January.
  16. Baker sucks, but I think Baker's failure to see what's happening on the field is partially a failure of the coaching staff. Getting the play in late every down isn't giving him much time to see what's going on pre-snap. He needs some goff-level help.
  17. Gotta admit though, the clown shoes are a pretty good fit for the browns this year.
  18. Whitehead sucks anyway, losing him will make us better. Fully expect the browns to cut him tomorrow.
  19. Not sure, but I don't think anyone on the staff is really a worthy interim so might as well let Freddy play the easy half of the season.
  20. I think Freddie will be gone for sure, but there's no point in firing him mid season. Might as well let it play out
  21. This is the biggest shit show I've seen in my entire life.
  22. We could have won with better officiating, we also could have won with better coaching - which are pretty much the two most frustrating ways to lose the game. Of course some of the drops, missed tackles could have swung the game. We fucked up in every facet imaginable
  23. It's a good thing we hired Freddie as HC before another team could scoop up our "up and coming" offensive mastermind. We really need to get somebody else calling plays immediately. I mean, you're inside the 10 yard line with 3 timeouts and 40+ seconds and you run an empty set 4 times in a row? That's not even something you would do in a video game. Obviously, the play calling has been bad in many other instances - but that's the most memorable as it cost us a chance to win the game.
