  1. While I'm a fan of this decision and think it's the best option (careful what you wish for) I have to wonder why it was announced so early? While I'm sure the Goats were prepping for Flacco, I would've kept them in the dark and fed 'em shit right up until kickoff. Probably not a huge deal, but it's the little things that can add up to big things like an opening drive TD. Anyway, super excited to see what Joe can do and what Kevin can call in terms of a game plan..... Hopefully not going a full 50 pass attempts to try and cross them up.
  2. Pat McAfee a believer in Joe Flacco and the Browns https://www.yahoo.com/sports/pat-mcafee-believer-joe-flacco-130046122.html
  3. I'm actually really optimistic on what the offense will look like with Flacco under center compared to the one DTR pilots. I'm expecting that the defense won't be put on nearly as many short fields with turnovers and I'm expecting a much better TOP will go even further to helping the D. I do think a loss is the most realistic outcome, but I'm as hopeful as I've been all year, and yes, that means with Watson as well.... I worry far less about Joe and his play than I do Kevin and his ability to call the best offensive game plan for his new toy.
  4. Garrett said after Sunday's 29-12 loss to Denver that he felt something pop in his left shoulder during the game, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/browns-myles-garrett-set-for-scans-on-injured-shoulder/
  5. While we all piss, moan, argue and literally feel the loss down to our guts, somewhere Watson is a few days out of surgery, meaning that the therapists are starting to pay visits all while his guaranteed monthly deposits keep on piling up. ^ That should make everyone feel better. Still too soon?
  6. Super frustrating game as there was nothing to like for me. I hated the offensive play calling, the game day management strategy, the defensive effort as a whole and to top it off, it's fucking Denver..... yet again. Maybe we'll all look back at today as a needed amputation to save the body... meaning that if the coaching staff had any false inkling that DTR could take the team to the playoffs, then they now know that is impossible and will have to go to plan Flacco next week. ^ I'm not saying Joe can do it, but I am saying that the other 2 dudes at QB can not.
  7. This is what makes it really bad for me as I get madder with a Denver loss than I do a Stoolerz.
  8. This won't be popular with AI lovers and yes, Cooper should've caught the 2pt conversion, but for me this is why you don't chase the point until you have to. Assuming they make the PAT kick there (with a ton of game left to play) we would've been down 11 and could've kicked a FG on the last drive instead of going for it on 4th and 14. Assuming a good FG, it would be a 1 score game now instead of all but over. I know Sonny the robot says to go for 2, but I'll take good ol' football gut any day.... Never chase the point until you have to.
  9. The Rams are going to be more than a handful next week and will put up points. Definitely at a crossroads over the next 7 days.
  10. This game is my personal litmus test. Right now I'm just on the edge of believing that this team can not only make the playoffs, but can actually have as good a chance of any as winning throughout it. A win, in Denver, with how they are currently playing, against all of the ghosts and with all of our injuries and fill in players and I'm fully in, hook, line and sinker.
  11. This helps to ease my anxiety a bit, I guess as much as signing any unemployed veteran NFL QB in November is going to do.
  12. While this is a good ol' fashioned AFC Central type game, it's also super frustrating to watch. As I type this up 10-7, I have a bad feeling about my next post that will be after the game.
  13. In the current position the Browns are in at QB, how bad must Falcco's try out had been for them to say, "Thanks, we'll give you a call".

During his post surgical therapy, a few scantly dressed massage therapists and a well positioned nanny cam would do the trick. Still too soon?
  15. Oh, I remember! My girlfriend (now wife) and I were late to my Mom's Christmas Eve dinner (bigger than even Christmas Day in our family) because I refused to leave until the Oilers game was over. I caught hell for it, but it was so worth it. Still one of the best Christmas Eve's ever.
