  1. Our owner and front office get everything they deserve, while the players, coaches and fans don't deserve any of it. DTR has to go full Stroud, or at least close to it for the team to have any chance.... can he? Yes. Will he? I know beside all of us fans, there will be an entire front office that will be praying that Stef can work a miracle, but if he cant', he'll be the scapegoat for the stupidest men in any room.
  2. I don't get to watch the games live unless they're on my local network and when I do watch live via the internet I'm way behind the real broadcast, so either way I don't log on here to post for obvious spoiler reasons. One of my new favorite things to do is read the gameday thread from start to finish after the game is over..... you all post like a seismograph readout out with nothing but highs and lows until either the island sinks into the sea or the volcano erupts with joy. It's hilarious after a comeback win, that's for sure.
  3. Holy hell what a game!! What a showing of heart from all 53 and the coaching staff.... FUCK you Gutter Birds.

  5. To add to my original thought on being 'OK' with the pass on 3rd and 3, if Stef had already committed in his own head to going for it on 4th, then he 100% made the wrong call and should've ran it to create a 4th and 1 at worst. Personally, I don't have a lot of faith that Kevin actually calls plays 2 or 3 ahead, so in all honesty the thought of a 4th down decision probably never even crossed his mind during the heat of the moment.... another reason why someone needs to be in charge of gameday, game flow, real time decisions that often win and lose games. Someone needs to make a calm decision and Kevin frantically looking at his play sheet isn't the dude. From what I've been able to piece together in terms of momentum, the real time rest the defense had, how they played in the 4th, how PJ had looked throwing in the 4th and how well the Browns had ran the ball, I would've been pissed he threw it as well... especially if I thought for a single second he was going to try to win it on 4th and 1 the very next play. Still, Kevin had them in a position to win the game with his 1/4 billion dollar QB standing on the sidelines and watching a practice level dude take the snaps from center. Too bad the defense couldn't rise to the occasion and put their stamp on being the NFL's #1 ranked unit - but seems they get a pass on allowing an easy game winning drive....
  6. I say the following having no clue about the gameday flow, the current momentum, the offensive set, the last 5 throws of PJ or anything else, so put your pitchforks down and take a Lorazepam. I don't have a problem with Stef throwing it there (based on all of the above) and if he completes it, the game is probably over. Of course one of the worst things that could've happened did, but our league leading defense should have been able to at least force a long FG attempt (again, I have no idea of what the momentum was like). I'm guessing if Sef would've ran the ball into an 11 man front for a 3" gain and the defense still choked it away (pitchforks down - the #1 D in the NFL should've played like it with the game on the line) then people would be criticizing him for being too conservative and not having a killer mentality. Just my .02 about a game I did not watch.
  7. Pretty much where I am. I had to work today and when I had a break I checked my computer (I watch with the sketchy free legal streams) it was 0-14 Seachickens, so I was like, "well that's over" and when I finally got home and all cleaned up I logged on just in time to watch their game winning drive, so I didn't have to live and die with the live gameday flow that everyone else was obviously exposed to..... and by the anger on this thread, it looks like I missed a doozy.
  8. Where's her left hand? Too soon?
  9. My question is what exactly has Watson wearing brown and orange shown you? First is was rust. Then it was he just needed more time with the offense during the offseason. Now it's an injury that keeps him off the field while being medically cleared to play. Next it will be........ So again, as the Brown's QB what exactly has this dude shown anyone that makes you think he is better than even 20 other NFL starters? I'd put up his career Cleveland Browns QB stats, but I haven't had lunch yet and I don't want to lose my appetite. Here's to Deshaun going into the phone booth and changing into his 1/4 billion dollar uniform, and sooner rather than never.
  10. This entire Deshaun Rub One Out Watson situation sucks complete balls for us fans and lord knows we have all been through more than is deserved, but I'm not going to lie, I think it's funny as fuck for everyone in the Browns organization who green lighted this epic disaster of a trade. Start at Jimmy and end with whatever Yes Man sat across the table and thought, "Yea, let's give one quarter of a billion USD to a QB who hasn't played in a year, is under investigation by the authorities for sexually lewd conduct and will be suspended by the NFL for an as of yet, undetermined amount of time ...... and let's guarantee all of it!" Every single POS evolved in this historic fuck up should be fired and that includes Jimmy the Thief. I'll be rooting for whichever QB is under center doing his best to fill in for the biggest mistake to ever happen to Cleveland.
  11. All the Browns have to do is terminate Watson's contract for cause. Cause he sucks.
  12. I do love me a glass half full attitude!
  13. Man, I would not want to walk to the stadium from any of the hotels in the area. You will be fine around the stadium itself with all of the other people, but there would be no way in hell that I would find myself away from that safety net trying to hoof it to a hotel. A taxi or Uber would be the safest bet, but be prepared to wait a while for either.
  14. I'd argue that up to today he is coach of the year.
  15. First and for the record, I'm not a fan of Watson the man or Watson the player as the starting QB of the Browns and I really hate what the Browns gave up in terms of draft capital and guaranteed money for him..... now with that being said, I wanted to give my 2 cents on his shoulder injury from a first hand experience point of view. Back on April 1st of this year, I went from a normal Saturday at noon, to not being able to touch my mouth with my left hand by 9pm and it was completely out of the blue. No falls on my bike, no injuries working or working out. Nothing. By Sunday morning I was not able to raise my left arm to get my hand higher than my waistband without excruciating pain. I also couldn't even get my left elbow onto the armrest of my recliner without almost becoming nauseous from pain. I thought for sure I somehow tore my rotator cuff, but on Tuesday morning I was diagnosed with "Calcific Tendonitis". Basically it is a cyst like sack of calcified crap that forms in the tendon of the rotator cuff where it squeezes through the shoulder joint and causes massive amounts of pain. Many female patients say it's even worse than child birth and I will say it was one of the most painful things I have dealt with and my surgical list is well into the double digits. On that Tuesday Dr's visit, I received an ultrasound guided steroid injection which helped it to settle down to just being really painful. I started PT 6 days later and by the end of April I could finally reach up to the upper cabinet and put away my own coffee mug, albeit with significant pain. I was finally able to wash my head in the shower by the end of May with slight pain. Early in June I was able to do very light street type rides on my mountain bike and at the end of June I was back out on the trail although at slow speeds. By the end of August I was back to riding at 100% as well as doing most other things, but did them all with discomfort and apprehension. As I type this, I have not done a single pushup or pullup since that Saturday on April 1st and I am still very cautious when I reach up to do anything. My pain is all but gone now with the occasional, "Oh shit, is it coming back?" day here or there. All of this is to say that while it's easy to say (myself included) that the 230 million dollar franchise QB needs to "suck it up and play", I'm here to say that if his rotator cuff contusion is anything like what I experienced, that is simply impossible. So as much as I really don't like anything about Watson, I just wanted to give my experience to sort of come to his defense. I do wish the Browns and Watson himself would be more forthright in talking about his injury as it seems really greasy the way they are both handling it. Just my .02 (that's for Tour)
  16. Same here. I was so sure of the outcome that I purposely let the game spool up while I did my Sunday chores and when I started watching and was met with 23's quick score I was like, "Well, this game is over", but I'll be damned if the Browns said "Nope, not today".
  17. No shit! Like Dutch said, that is a call you make with your starting 230 mil QB under center, not Paul Walker and not even Brian Earl Spilner. My neighbors probably think I have tourette syndrome from the sounds that came out of my mouth and wafted through my open windows during and after that play.
  18. So proof it's not just Jimmy who quotes himself, but seriously, this could be the pressure that forges a division winning team. So damn proud!!
  19. For those of you not in SoCal, FOX had to go to the Rams game and broke away right after the DPI call against the Browns so there are millions of SoCal football fans that missed it. Luckily I have one of those legal steaming sites so I only missed 1 play scrambling to get to my computer.
  20. Wow, wow, wow.. Congrats Browns on doing what I thought was impossible. So damn proud of you.
