odd - the same principle congratulated their  hs soccer team on their win. How does she think that is a great thing? What about the unhappy students who lost to their soccer team? (eyeroll)

Baker Mayfield is the perfect person to make that point. Competition teaches hard work ethic, perseverance, ...

but she thinks everybody should get a nice participation trophy - happiness with succeeding without having to

    work at it.

    from her twitter account:

    Shanna Bumiller @sbumiller May 11

Congrats to @MasonLacrosse and @AvesLax on being the first GMC Boys Lacrosse Co-champions! The trophy will fly home with Aviators for the 1st part the year then swing back to Comet country for the 2nd part of the year.

    whatever.

God help all these people who get participation trophies, if there is ever another depression. They will just wilt and die... can't live on depression participation trophies.

How does being co-champions equate to a participation trophy?

We don't know that but- no charges were filed. MY POV is it takes one hell of a man to just walk away after some chick starts calling you names and slaps you in the face- especially if you've had more than a few drinks...

And on testosterone most likely. I have to think the majority of these guys are using peds.  Top athletes can get around tests.

I don't think the general public realizes how the NFL environment conditions you to be as aggressive as possible.  Being in that environment all the time.... When the drinks start going,  and party girls get involved,  you know crazy shits going down

What you have there is a Jerry Jones blow job

    better than Jeffery Jones

just for comparison - Rivers had 341 yds w/ 2 ints vs ravens in 2 games, Baker had 718 w/ 4 tds 4 ints. Can't wait for next season

Baltimore won their division Baltimore had the Homefield Baltimore was favored. And SD plays in LA

Browns should've beaten them both times.  Baltimore squeaked by.

Yeah,  I live here.  They play in Carson in a 35k seat soccer stadium.  Not one single person in LA county gives a single fuck about the chargers,  and only about half of sd still cares.

Every game chargers play is basically a road game. Their owner highly miscalculated how they'd be received up there

Side note - I'm loving the Browns outlook for next several seasons.  Baker put up big numbers against ravens twice.  Certainly better than Rivers did.  Future looks bright for the Browns

I admit, his combine stats were ridiculous....

Wish he ran the 40. The clips on YouTube showing every single td in his career,  There's quite a few where you're just like "wow"

Is he unique though?  Or is it more of what the NFL has seen before save for the fact Lamar is paired with a curious run game design and the leagues best scoring defense...?

I think he's a step above any other qb like this.  He's on another level of speed and change of direction

  7. Jackson played in a solid offense at Louisville.  This has been discussed before.  Your don't rack up 2 seasons of great #s against solid teams by being lucky.  He out gained Vicks total VT career stats in one season.

Ravens are a problem for many.  Deal with it.  He's almost impossible to defend.  He's still green,  and he'll get much better.  Upside is like watson.  Just needs to keep focused. If not for some mahomes magic,  he'd be undefeated as a starter

I don't think he's missed any games yet. Vick told him to put about 20 lbs on... And he did.  He was running less and less at Louisville each year too. Doesn't get hit that hard in any game I've seen,  but he pops up like he's made of rubber when it happens

Vick told him to put about 20 lbs in the off season and he did.  He's a freak level athlete back there.  There is no qb like him

That's how I feel as well.  I was glad to see him leave college, as he tortured my Seminoles for far too long, but I was NOT happy to see him come to our division.  I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure we'll see him this season with his own small package of plays.  And when they get near the goal line, I fully expect he'll be in the game.

Sure sounds like he'll be starting soon enough. And yeah seeing him 2x a year might suck for a long time.

People who think he can only run... He's just a scrambler,  can't hurt people passing it... etc... Will be sorely mistaken.

  9. The guy is such a freak athlete. I'm sure he'll start making highlight reels soon enough.

Seems like he's got his head on straight,  and he works hard.  Didn't really matter what team he went to because I knew he wasn't going to the Browns.

I'd simply like to see him do well. He's one of the most exciting players I've ever seen.

Stats aren't as relevant as they once were since systems and leagues are so different.  If stats and film were the entire story we would be partying in the streets over Baker Mayfield being a Brown not crossing our fingers.

I realize stats aren't everything but nobody was ever talking about Pryor taking over as starting QB in his rookie year. It's a definite possibility that Jackson replaces Flaaco this season. People still act like all he does is scramble and run for his life.... and you don't get 3K+ yds 2 seasons in a row without making a lot of throws.

  11. He claims he's a 4.3 guy,  but who knows? He can definitely fly,  but they all over estimate.  It's not just his speed,  it's the agility and fakes.

Impossible to not see the potential to be very good. He's got some time to sit,  and they can eventually create an offense around him. He's a next level athlete and can sling the ball. Colin Kapernick almost went to the super bowl.  No reason a guy like Lamar couldn't get there if he's able to develop.  Petrino supposedly has him way more nfl ready than people give him credit for.

Nah- not first contact, but having your franchise qb running 10 times a game is a recipe for disaster. Speaking of- just remembered, and guess who else is on the Ravens roster? None other than RG Knee. Exactly the same height and only 3 pounds heavier than Jackson, ran a 4.4 at the combine IIRC. Same build. Lamar didn't have the knee injury in college that Griffin did, but dang, it sure looks like Ozzie drafted his clone.

Not so much worried about Jackson running, my question is will he have the smarts to develop into a decent pocket passer? LOL, I'm sure Griffin will mentor him on the merits of sliding instead of being a hero and taking a kill shot from the opposition.

I would think he'd run way less than he did in college.

He seems to be able to minimize big hits very well.

Defenses had to respect Jackson was a running threat, no?

How many pros did Jackson play against at Louie? Out of thousands of players about 200 players are drafted from all the NCAA football programs. Everybody is a pro at the NFL level. Strong, fast and smart. Jackson will get crushed in the NFL if he runs and I dont see him surviving taking away his run game.

He's still gonna be one of the fastest guys on the entire field in the NFL.  He's faster than most WR and CB.  I don't think he's missed any games with injuries thus far has he?
