He pulled the trigger. He killed her.   He should ensure it was safe to do so.  Learn firearms safety.  He deserves jail time.

Not to mention he mocked Trump, your boy, mercilessly accurately.

Prop gun? Safety staff on all movie shoots.... but yeah... whatever HOMIE!  Way to stay in the spirit of the thread... Fuck you.

  2. And FYI.... Z has only really come back at me once 'round here... over my years... And even then he went easy on me.

I simply told him "sometimes ya just can't help but polk the bear"... so we have an understanding.

Helps that he finds me amusing... and that's usually around my mre serious stuff... fine by me. He's one of the habdful around here that I will invite to stay with mw when a road-trip brings The BB to TX. I would even leave a key under the mat for him were I out... of course in this latter ca;) se I'd also put the booze in a safe. ;)

Alongside hoorta, Z was my first face-to-face BB meet. The Miami trip a couple years ago.... Added a few others that trip, but none as memorable.

    MMV.... :D

I don't like to simply throw back questions, but in todays NFL can you really separate the two?

Learn  to embrace the approach.... seek to understand before being understood. Always hard for me but even moreso now due to brain acceleration.

Yes, there has been always will be the "availability" factor, but I think there is a balance. The bigger the CB's Star, the bigger the fall off when time is missed. And now with 17 games... oy vey...

Bigger CBs have to be the answer... or at least heavier, thicker ones... and in abundance or rotations and depth. Tall and fast to boot? Sure in an ideal world, but those would make an already rare combination even rarer. I'd be willing to go a step slower for a few more inches. I am going to zone against an RPO-ZBS combo most of the time anyway, so excepting at FS, I can sacrifice some speed for size. Add a stout SS, and keep my LBs a bit bigger, and I'm good.... at least so long as I can outscore them.

My bottom line... I see neither the value in Ward nor the position to lock him up in an expensive Long-term contract.

Garrett can take care of that, and has.  Hospital Ward is still frail.

One of these things is not like the other....

CBs take a beating.... always have always will. Bigger question is when Ward answers the proverbal bell, is he enough of a difference maker? Answer that and then worry about the Cap impact of a part timer.

  5. Not a fan of the direction, but it's what I see.... and our AFCN rival, former selves blazing the trail.... from well in front.

With a geographically closer rival is hot pursuit... At least per the SNF crew in their discussion about this one-year transition experiment in Black and Gold.

And, yes, if your RPO QB gets broke in a given year, you are out of it and likely falling like a rock to a top-ten draft slot... sauce for the Goose.

  6. Feels like it to me....

Not that Ghoulie was right/correct, but if you have a QB with escapability then the OL skill versatility, if not level, can decrease.... especially if you go ZBS as well (and who isn't?). Net result? Fewer OL $s. Leaving more for D and WRs. Ditto RB if your main Runner is your QB. complimentary backs are much cheaper. Have a variety pack on hand for scenarios. TEs... couple of balanced ones, blocking and catching... Pure receiving? Nice if one has surprise upside, but not required.

WRs.... emerging trend seems to be accumulating semi-studs of varying skill sets and sizes. BUF is latest example I see.... with Beasley to sanders and then add a Diggs... Wow.

    D?

Above means more to spend here as well... Buy em cheap and deep... keep em fresh.

    • DTs: one speed/quick penetrator.... best way to wreck the RPO/ZBS attack is middle penetration.
    • DEs.... speed rules, but can it get home against RPO? Much less of time, but as with WRs, rather than spending on elite here, amass speed and rotate the shit out of it with spares in the wing.
    • LBs.... **Tour bangs the drum slowly** There is still a role for an enforcing thumper at the Mike.... and for me that is still the linchpin position. I see Micah in Blue and White and get pissed. Tge dude starts a game at RILB, his side's DE goes down and he steps in and does a job at DE the balance of the game. Sometimes size comes in handy....
    • CBs... COLLECT them all if you can to get as deep as you can for they are small and the season be long. Spend to add or retain Elite? Match up dependant, IMO. If a division WR is the difference between makin playoffs or not, then sure, but otherwise collect semi studs.

  8. Injuries mount as more players get hurt...

Bigger faster stronger. make contact more violent... anyone who thinks more contact in practice would help knows nothing.

Staff to blame?  Produce the evidence.... soft tissue vs. Joint.... non-contact vs. contct... etc.... or just bay at the moon.

he usually plays well but he is not an elite qb

Which is the case in about 32 NFL towns every week. Elite don't grow on trees.

So you surround him with all you can (which we've still yet to do) and.... soldier on.

Said it a couple days ago... time to shut BAKER down.... get him fixed and let him heal so we can at least evaluate his repair.

    ... it beats a blank.

Depends on the game doesn't it?

I've saved a lot of heartache and stomach lining this season, missing every single live broadcast....

Heart is good, so no conerns there, but have a couple meds and some stray gamma rays in the stomach lining competition these days... so far only mild nausea in passing after 1st week of treatments... another 5 to go.tho.

As for the rest of this season... looking like it could be e blank in its entirety. That said like Ag I've been getting fed a lot of Dallas games, and they are looking like we hoped we'd look. not a lot of solace, but is a source of hope for our future.

    Later...

The conventional wisdom is OBJ will be out after this season. Let's see if he can make some big plays in the playoffs where we'll really need him.

One of many wisdoms under development to be sure, but Geez... even I won't go so far as to label Cube "unconventional"... :D

Now irrationally insecure on the other hand....
