I disagree Mayfield wants to win very badly but also likes to make big bucks making stupid commercials.

This team was 7-8-1 last year with some tough close games and fewer tools. He wants to win.

i think baker was good last yr for 1 reason....no one had any tape on him....he took the league by storm....well....almost.....now that he is being studied...he looks to me like another regular joe....the ol sucks yes...but man he looks like the second coming of derek anderson to me....jury is still way way way out on baker...

Yep. Now that we're almost mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, you're going to see more and more players packing it in for the year.

And who else is thinking that OBJ antics are going to start now that the season is done-zo?

i caught a brief camera glance at the end of the game with yodell screaming at one of our dumbass coaches.....the camera only showed about 2-3 seconds....but i saw it.....here comes yodell antics big time.....and you know what, its not really his fault....our coaches suck ass...

No heart, no killer instinct. Up by 10 and we just let off the gas. Something is mentally wrong with this bunch. Whether it is coaching or the players we didnt give a fuck from the start.

You watch any other NFL game and there is fight, tenacity and a will to win.

Watching this team you might as well take a nap. No expectation, no anticipation, you know exactly what will happen.

we did not let off the gas....we got demolished by the  steelers d....d wins games folks....d wins games....they took the gas from the dumbass clowns and now they yes they with all their offensive weapons out and a third string qb are in the playoff hunt big time.....fucking browns....what an embarrasment this is....

We had a flamebaiting troll around who probably soured the whole Board on the Ravens. Just lose baby!!!

hate the ravens but unless jackson suffers a season ending injury, they are going to the superbowl.....they will beat the shit out of the pats again which would be the only thing that would make me happy....

Duck dynasty is absolute defecate.  He just throws the ball because he has nothing to lose...he is the 3rd string...he is crap.

he is better than rudolph the red shit mason......but as you say, he is the third stringer.....i am more concerned about their d....and tomlin vs blockhead kitchens...and believe me, he is a blockhead coach....

And then Mack Wilson was caught celebrating juju getting hurt on twitter. Posted a picture with a laughing face and 1-0. Kitchens better get that shit under control.

this team is so fucked up......

Like I said...they DO succumb to media hysteria at times.

do the dot plots on miles garrett....he punched a player first game of the season and it got worse from there...he is a thug...end of story...a fucking thug....i don't care who started the fight,...you don't fucking pull a players helmet off and beat him with it....fucking caveman mentality.....he won't be around much longer anyway...will be happy to see him go.....

Not particularly trying to justify this, that really can't be done, but didn't somebody attempt to yank off Myles helmet and he foolishly retaliated in fury?

That's what we thought as we were watching it and that's what are the some of the comments seem to indicate. I hope that influences the decision on the suspension.

    WSS

does not mean he should use the helmet as a weapon....he actually could have killed the dude....fuck him and fuck you to if you find this acceptable....

A few thoughts after watching the Steelers/Rams late afternoon tilt yesterday....

Bottom Line: We've got a shot, but PTG is a much better team than they were just three weeks ago...

    Offense:

    • Rudolph.... the kid stands in there... have to give him that. But his play is very streaky... he runs hot and cold from series to series, so sometimes he stands in there to take a sack (or worse) and sometimes to deliver a strike to a young WR corps. If we pressure him, then he should not be the difference in this game.
    • RB Committee.... injuries are limiting 2 of the top 3 RBs on this roster... those stepping in are energetic, but the skills gap is showing.
    • WR Committee.... JuJu has yet to establish himself as a solid #1... meanwhile Washington has the look of a real #2.
    • TEs... they've a couple good ones in McDonald and Vanett. They are going to give us some trouble. but the game should not turn on their play.
    • OL... it's a good one and the strength of this Offense, but it is not unbeatable as LAR showed early and often... would that we had a Donald inside, but we can bring better edge pressure than the Rams did. A good mix of blitz is called for this game.

    Defense:

    No bullet points here...

This D is now very good going on damn good since the addition of Fitzpatrick at FS. He was their missing piece. He has set them up to play zone effectively a high percentage of the time. Even Haden looks renewed. With Micah they are now solid up the middle.... and the edges don't look too bad either.

This is not to say they won't yield points... they will... and the route is by imposing our will on them... on the ground. If we can run on their 3-man front when Mark Barron is "filling" an ILB role we can wear them down. They must pay a price for going undersized on top of being out-maned.

Then, as MN did to DAL last night, we have to PAP our asses off....

Thar's what I see anyway for this must win, divisional game....

qb pressure is the key here....we don't get enough of it....we need to do something to really put this kid on his heels.....if we don't, we probably lose....

I've been saying this for a while and we keep hearing about how Myles terrorizes everyone in camp and looks absolutely unblockable, and how he totally wrecked practice and blah, blah, blah.

I don't see THAT level of player in our games. Listen, I LOVE Myles Garrett and he's probably my favorite player on the team. He's a very good player, a terrific teammate, and a better human being. But he doesn't win games. He doesn't get game-altering plays (rarely). He's just a really good player and that's about it.

I 100% agree with virtually EVERYTHING you said, and I'm very worried about the "random injuries" popping up and players sitting out. I also agree with you about the defense sucking and I can't understand WHY we're this bad. Like so many people have said in some way other posts, our offense and defense can be summed up with this statement:  "Nobody makes a big play when we need it."

For example, several weeks ago the Ravens played the Seahawks. With the game on the line, the Ravens had a 4th and 2 near the goal line. Now, what do you think happened? Better yet, what would OUR team do? Would we rise up and make a game-winning play? No...no we wouldn't. What did Baltimore do? Well, Lamar Jackson obviously scored. Duh. But that's not all! The Seahawks had plenty of time to score a touchdown and retake the lead. Sound familiar?

Do you think Baltimore's defense choked and let them go all the way down the field to score? Why no...no they didn't. In FACT, Baltimore's defense took the ball away and scored a TD to seal it. Something our defense has never done. (to be fair, the Seattle player literally fumbled the ball to them without being touched, but whatever. We'll never, ever get that break, so we'll have to deal)

I guess my point is that NFL games typically come down to a handful of plays every week. It's UNCANNY how on both offense and defense we routinely fail to MAKE these plays. This game tomorrow is probably going to be very similar to the Broncos game. If we don't make adjustments, the result will be similar too. Oddly enough, I'm betting on the Browns to win. I think we rise up for the home crowd, and I DON'T think Buffalo is a 7-2 team. They're just not.

he needs help....he's probably getting doubled alot...who else is picking up the slack....no one....if someone else starts showing up, i think you would see garrett at his best....you are right rig....but i don't think it is totally on him....our dl overall really stinks the lbs are a little below mediocre...maybe even worse...they have no lateral pursuit and are mostly slow...there is absolutely no pressure at all on the qb ....i can't put that on garrett alonw...

Tuna: "You are what your record says you are." I agree with that quote but I understand what you're saying too.

Also, Bills gave NE all they could handle. Yes, I know Balt. just beat them, but they were 8-0 before that so the Pats are a good team. Bill gave them a much closer game than da Browns did. I have no idea how Browns are favored by 3 in this one; it should be a pick 'em game at best.

we have not won a home game yet this yr....maybe the oddsmakers are thinking law of averages...thats the only thing i can see because i don't think we are better than they are at all....

Doesn't look good, but I'll also say Buffalo's combined record of their opposition is like 6-40 or something insane like that. Obviously our record falls in line with that, but we're better than 2-6, I know it.

i wish i could say the same, but we are what are record is....yes on paper on the offensive skilled postion we look better, but we underperformed...the ol stinks, the dl really really stinks...the db's are soft...i don't see it where we are better...wish we were....

When does the defense start taking responsibility for they're ineptness? They look slow.. uninterested and bamboozled on idiot plays... It's time they get some of the shit being slung Freddie and Bakers way...

you are the only one that notices this besides me.....not only slow, but undisciplined....and they can't hit worth a shit....the secondary plays olay olay defense...they all blow at tackling...everyone of them....thanks nickers....

Any  path to the play offs ended for me at Denver. Denver was a must win. It was the first game of the favorable schedule we had to win to make a run and we didn't get the job done.  I think the Browns will beat the Bills this week and I think they will have some more nice wins this year but I think we are going to fall short of the play offs and we will look back to the Denver game we should have won as the reason we didn't make it.

we not going to beat the bills....they have a very good defense.....i see baker running for his life...hopefully he won't get injured....they will run the ball against our soft defense...i see a 31-10 bills win.....back to the drawing board freddy.....

Ill take the over.  We cant get out of our own way.  How is our agricultural specialist Freddie gonna clean that up?  Been 8 weeks..

looks like we cleaned it up a little last week, however me thinks the ol is going to get clobbered by the bills dl and lb's, so there will be plenty of holding calls to go around along with the usual hands to the face etc etc....i'll take the over too.

I just hope the guy isn't rusty, or gets one of those damn hammy pulls right out of the gate....

that is not saying much....every running back in the nfl makes our db's look silly....not saying much there...now buffalo is a different story...if he makes them look silly  well then.......

Which Hunt?  Get it which Hunt......seems to be a popular topic lately.

For the BROWNS of course it will help, give them a more dynamic offense pounding them with Chubb then counterpunch with Hunt.  PLUS a good outlet reciever for BM.

Can't hurt at home vs Buffalo.

ahhhh, i'd like to agree with ya......but.....bills have one of the best defenses in the league....bills will win this game with their d alone.....hopefully our soft defense will come to play, but i think we will see what we have seen this yr...they will look good the first series or two and then collapse for whatever reason....our offensive guru coach will still not figure out how to do anything giving our offense limited time on the field....hopefully it changes and the team realizes that even though they are done this yr, they are still getting paid to do a job....
