Josh Allen and Baker would have had a RG3-Kirk Cousins battle. Allen's potential vs. a 5'10" DB in Ward. Even if Allen busted, so what. They can find a DB similar to Ward next year. Allen had elite skills in the right system. QB's don't grow on trees. Anyone can run.

Taking 2 QB's in the top 4 picks when you haven't had one since Otto Graham creates competition. Bad QB=franchise failure.
-
Josh Allen> Baker, D.Ward. Roll the dice on a throwaway pick. You had the first pick. Create competition at THE position of need in all of sports.
-
-
No way you don't solidify the QB position after decades of garbage. Two picks in the top 4 and you don't land a franchise QB.
-
Draft someone on defense that can cover All-Pro tight ends. Period.

Broke rookie yards in a game record. Broke Walter Payton single game record. Next. SB with Brady handing him the the ball to a ring for Tom. Easy legend.

Guess what, Baker Mayfield is most likely going to be your guy, my guy, EVERYONE'S guy next year. Get him his surgery, his rehab, and continue to improve the roster around him.
After next season? We'll see.
Bring in Big Ben and Antonio Brown. Shake it up.

I’d take Ken “The Snake” Stabler over Tua, 100 times over
The Snake wrote the greatest book I read as a kid. Tua is limited. But his heart and accuracy are what you want. Baker has it, but something is off.
-
Madden had a left-handed QB from Alabama in Ken Stabler. Tua is left-handed from Alabama. Trade some socks for him. No one respects Tua.
-
Trade for Tua. Everyone thinks he's a bum. He throws bad picks early in games, gets pissed and wins. Miami wants Watson. A bag of oranges would get Tua. Those idiots love natural disasters and citrus.
-
For competition sake, this team could have taken Mayfield and Josh Allen. Maybe Allen never would have developed here. CB's like Ward are potentially great. Not like a freaky talent QB prospect when you have the 1st and 4th pick in the draft. DB's don't change your franchise.

Tua is basically a rookie who makes some mistakes. Why is Baker better? Get cheap Tua. He's healing.
-
His culture typically produces tough athletes. His release and anticipation behind an elite O-Line with stud RB's seems to fit. Roll the dice on injury prone or not. Is this Baker's team really? More like Landry's team. Tua could replace him smoothly on the cheap. Baker gets hurt, too. Tua is coming off of broken ribs and a hip. Let him get healthy and he's right with Burrow. I swear no troll. I'm Bernie old school.
-
First team to score 40 with no turnovers and lose. Yikes.
-
😉Chubb and Hunt run the offense. Package OBJ and Landry to Frisco. They'll fit in.
-
LeBron abandonded Cleveland for already pedigreed D.Wade. Period. F him.

Alex Gibbs just passed. Chubb and Hunt need to watch his 6 hour YouTube instructional to college coaches. Essential viewing and respect to the best run O-Line coach ever.
His system made Terrell Davis. Clinton Portis back-to-back 1500 yard seasons on low carries. Funny guy, also. Swears like Gruden.
-
QB's clearly run the league in 2021. Not coaches or GM's. Treat them different.
-
We all know that when Davante and Aaron show up here, 3 to 4 SB appearances and at least 2 SB wins are locked in. Top that, Berry.
-
Money doesn't matter to guys like Brady and Rodgers. Davante for OBJ makes this offense perfect.

Hmm.
Magic is something that isn't normal.
2020: 115 rec, 1374 yds, 18 TDs
2019: 83 rec, 997 yds, 5 TDs
2018: 111 rec, 1386 yds, 13 TDs
2017: 74 rec, 885 yds, 10 TDs
2016: 75 rec, 997 yds, 12 TDs
2015: 50 rec, 483 yds, 1 TD
2014: 38 rec, 446 yds, 3 TDs
2020: T2, T5, 1st
2019: 18th, 30th, T44
2018: T6, 7th, T2
2017: T19, 23rd, T2
2016: T28, 26th, T2
2015 and 2014: Not going that far down on the list
There is absolutely ZERO question that Rodgers is better than Baker and Adams is better than OBJ.
BUT, this magic you want to point to equates to:
0 Super Bowls
0 NFC Championships
A playoff record of:
And these playoff stats for Adams:
2014: 2 games (8, 124, 1)
2015: 1 game (4, 48, 1)
2016: 3 games (16, 217, 3)
2017: N/A
2018: N/A
2019: 2 Games (17, 298, 2)
2020: 2 Games (18, 133, 2)
And a playoff record of 5-5.
So is AR a Top 3 QB in NFL, Yes. Is DA a Top 5 WR in NFL, you betcha. Do they together result in a dynasty? Obviously not.
And that doesn't factor in $$$, doesn't factor in the reduction of players to fit them on the team because of salary, and that doesn't factor in the additional compensation needed.
But what do we expect from someone who went on and on about how Kareem Hunt was the best RB in league and most talented RB ever, is going to the HOF, and that he would easily win comeback POY after missing HALF the previous season with suspension (and played rest of year).
Kareem Hunt is great. Davante Adams is great. Let's go from there.
-
No. You wouldn't. Not at all.
-
Rodgers to Davante right now is a magic connection. No chemistry with Bake and OBJ. Am I wrong?
Denzel Ward the next Deion? No. Why not take Baker first and Josh Allen at 4. No franchise QB in 30 years!

JaMarcus couldn't run. He just played in a high profile conference and got hot at the right time. Same as Baker. Allen was a diamond in the rough. Oozing potential.
