  1. Sampler Platter ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... $9 One cabbage roll, 1 pierogie, 1 sausage, small cabbage and dumplings, small chicken paprikash, bread and drink! ......I also like some nice cool sour cream with it. Oh yes, ummmmmm, my food!! .....why ever eat out of white bags, burger and fries? I got 1 BK Whopper and a small fry weeks back and paid over $7.
  2. Oh the wife just made another version of chili mac the other day only without spaghetti, she used a smaller spoon size macaroni, not bad at all. AND she used the square, deep copper pot I bought her....."AS SEEN ON TV", cooks great easy to handle but there are a few quirks about cooking with it, good thing is it will go on stove or in the oven. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALSO I went back over the last 5-6 pages here, always some interesting ideas......plus that Chicago style beef sandwich has to be coming soon!
  3. Oh my wife, the scratch cook, saw the picture and thought it was gross! I hope it isn't Cincinnati's finest dish I spent time in cinci during the 1970s visiting a friend in college, later his wedding had some pretty good food......but that was eons ago. I'll take Chicago and of course good ol' NE OHIO. ......and Pittsburgh not bad!
  4. Aquired taste? Many local treats are that way......and you better like cheese here!
  5. I've always lobbied for the figure 8 track like the old slot car days. I'm not a big Indy or NASCAR fan like in decades past but like to tune in to the starts and then tune in/out occasionally. Daytona and the groundhog have February sports pretty well locked up now....... ........except for the once in every four years Olympics.
  6. Anybody have plans for this one? The 2018 Daytona 500, the 60th running of the event, is a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race held on February 18, 2018, Contested over 200 laps, on the 2.5-mile (4.0 km) asphalt superspeedway. It will be the first race of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. On FOX......geeezzz they're getting in everything!
  7. Well gameday food doesn't just have to be for football or tailgating, we have the Daytona 500 coming, The Master's (great foodie event ), MLB Spring Training even a few TV games there, NBA if you're so inclined and of course THE NFL DRAFT April 26-28, but what now? How about the Olympics! Well an excuse to grill on Sunday today Porterhouse steaks, baked potatoes with the works, veggies TBD at grilling time and naturally Sam Adams Boston Lager......ummmmm. Got to love those Olympics, GO USA!
  8. Whether you get a W-2G or not all gambling winnings are taxable......but if you itemize you can write losses off up to the amount of winnings. Yes it does work: Taxpayers must report all gambling winnings as income. They must be able to itemize deductions to claim any gambling losses on their tax return. Taxpayers who gamble may find these tax tips helpful: Gambling income. Income from gambling includes winnings from the lottery, horseracing and casinos. It also includes cash and non-cash prizes. Taxpayers must report the fair market value of non-cash prizes like cars and trips to the IRS. Payer tax form. The payer may issue a Form W-2G, Certain Gambling Winnings, to winning taxpayers based on the type of gambling, the amount they win and other factors. The payer also sends a copy of the form to the IRS. Taxpayers should also get a Form W-2G if the payer withholds income tax from their winnings. How to report winnings. Taxpayers must report all gambling winnings as income. They normally should report all gambling winnings for the year on their tax return as “Other Income.” This is true even if the taxpayer doesn’t get a Form W-2G. How to deduct losses. Taxpayers are able to deduct gambling losses on Schedule A, Itemized Deductions, but keep in mind, they can’t deduct gambling losses that are more than their winnings. Keep gambling receipts. Keep records of gambling wins and losses. This means gambling receipts, statements and tickets or by using a gambling log or diary. See Publication 525, Taxable and Nontaxable Income, for rules on gambling and Publication 529, Miscellaneous Deductions, for more information on losses. Publication 529 also lists specific types of gambling records a taxpayer may want to keep. Download and view IRS publications on IRS.gov/forms at any time.
  9. Must have been boring for Z to go through all those pages almost like going through all of those pages on everybody's picks in the draft still almost three months away! I'd rather kick back with a 6 foot redhead in front of a fireplace. Birthdate: November 05, 1991 Birthplace: Seattle Washington USA Height: 6' 0" Weight: 155 lbs Measurements: 32DD-27-30 Bio: Meet Molly Stewart, a beautiful redhead with legs for days and a smile that will make you weak in the knees. “I love Marvel comics, riding motorcycles and I enjoy older music with a good beat,” says the six foot tall model. “I enjoy hiking and being outdoors—that’s one of the great things about Washington. One of my favorite outdoor activities is riding on my motorcycle. I’m really into sports bikes and cars.”........
  10. And in the just for beating this thing to death department of the 15 players that got at least 1 postseason point only 2 did not have a single weekly win. Hope to see you all around in the next game of skill and luck. Thanks! Michael mjp.

  13. Looks like a pork shish kabob on a wooden skewer, get good pork (true with most meat dishes), my wife grows her own fresh herbs in a big flower/evergreen bed behind the house about 12 to 14 different herbs, dries them herself, oh a plus most rabbits, etc. hate herbs and will not eat or cross the bed. Brown pork on all sides. Spray pork with olive oil, roll in herb mixture then roll in breading mix then put in oven for best results! They were really good and really juicy and tender.....never overcook or dry out pork! Ummmmm.
  14. Oh so far Friday cod was good, Saturday city chicken was really good (my wife made me say that No actually it was delicious, the home grown herbs and breading did it.) Chicken in the oven, Sam Adams in the frig, GO PHILLY!
  15. Oh wife did see this.......ahhhhh, she points out her city chicken is dipped in her homegrown herbs, breaded and roasted in the oven in beef broth and very good. (not roadkill )
  16. Good I'll invite you over you can have mine.......better hurry it's cooking now, yum. (somehow I just never got hooked on pork on a stick, why I dunno) And why city chicken, sounds like roadkill or something, oh the wife IS an excellent cook and isn't reading this I hope.
  17. Oh Friday was baked cod and potato soup. Saturday will be city chicken (pork on a stick), wife likes that. Super Bowl Sunday will be oven roasted chicken, yes! During the early commercials and before the late commercials (oh and game). GO PHILLY +4!
  18. We're doing the make at home weekend, no square white boxes or white or brown bags. Wife has made the menus for February.....aka clean out the freezer, today baked cod with creamy potato soup, Saturday a surprise and Sunday something with sausage....I'll have to find that menu. GO EAGLES! SAVE HUMANITY!
  19. OK you guys are starting to puzzle me, no cheerleaders, babes, girlfriends? Well here's an oldie but goodie I remember from college and from Cleveland, Ohio... Birthdate: August 08, 1947 <----- yes she's now older than many of us now, POTM of March 1970 Birthplace: Cleveland Ohio USA Height: 5' 7" Weight: 120 lbs Measurements: 35B-24-35 Bio: Cleveland-native Christine Koren has been working fulltime at an art gallery in Hollywood, but don’t think for a second that means she’s artistic herself. Our Miss March 1970 is an avid cyclist and water-skier, but her favorite activity has to be sailing with her friends off Marina Del Rey—a far cry from her upbringing in Ohio. “I grew up with my older brother and younger sister in Cleveland. My father is a machinist and my mother is a housewife,” says our Miss March 1970 who isn’t ready to settle down anytime soon...... ......and one more.
  20. OK guys and gals it's SUPER BOWL LII time coming up, so any special weekend or Sunday parties or plans? Special fare or just regular gametime food?
  21. We're starting the weekend on Friday, 50° in NE OHIO today and steak cheeseburgers on the grill, woo-hoo! Then Saturday rain, Sunday whatever so it will be Wedgewood Pizza , probably an 8" plain, Philly and my new favorite 12" roasted red pepper, mushroom, black olive and extra cheese...... ummmm. Now I have no idea what game(s) I will watch.
