LOVED that guy!   He's my avatar.  I don't know if he was underrated (4 Pro Bowls for Browns & 1 for Raiders) or just forgotten by non-Cleveland fans due to all the injuries that cut seasons/overall career short. Those that saw him don't forget him.  Very fun to watch. Until Nick Chubb (also drafted in the upper part of round 2 like Pruitt) - I haven't seen a lot of RBs here that could score from anywhere on the field.

I think his strength and power at 190 lbs was underrated as you alluded to above.  He is always mentioned as the reason those jerseys no longer exist.  Pruitt held the Superstars record for the overhead press with 325 pounds until a very roided up Mark Gastineau at 275 lbs eventually broke it a few years later.

As I recall in college at OU his jersey read Hello on the front, goodbye on the back.

  2. Is his Browns blog gone from ESPN?

Been posting the same piece of shit Modell story for almost two weeks now.

I'm an addict. Need all the Browns news I can get.

Baker isn't getting the ball out on time and to the open guy. In fact, it looks like he regressed into the same exact guy he was under Hue and Haley. Holding the ball, taking sacks, and missing high. Baker is NOT comfortable, and this is a bigger problem than people are saying.

This is a GREAT observation. Had not been able to put my finger on it. Last season at his best Baker played loose. Good call.

This is now the perfect storm. The Monday night, the backup QB, the being favored to win....

This is Scott Mitchell against the Browns in 1993 all over again. Oh yeah, I totally remember. Dan Marino gets injured and Browns are going to win the game, but nooooo....Scott Mitchell comes in and somehow leads the Dolphins to victory. Anybody know the Browns record against backup QBs? Isn't it like 1-107, with the one victory coming against Charlie Whitehurst and the Titans? We ALWAYS make backup QBs look like Kurt Warner and I hope to God it doesn't happen again. In fact, I'd RATHER play Sam Darnold than Simien, and it's not close. Darnold completed 56 passes last week for 116 yards or something like that. I'm totally cool with that, but what I DON'T want is some guy coming in with something to prove who is going to push the ball all over the field (or at least try to).

Laugh all you want, but this sounds like it could be the Brownsiest game ever. Lord I hope not.

Just beat me to it. Good memory/bad memory!

Between Bobby Mitchell, Eric Metcal,f and Josh Cribbs we did have some very very fine punt and kick off return men. One of the maybe few problems on the current team is that I believe at that position those positions are unsettled at this point.

The Cube may not have been in their class, but he was no slouch either!

We might need to have a memorial Lot service next year.

I will be up for my final game in Dec....the Panthers game.  I will wander in to the Flatiron and hopefully see Ed, Don, Todd, and whoever....I can usually find them in there.  It's where I talked to Stanley for 30 or more minutes the last time I saw him last season.  I wish I could see Stanley pull up in his "chick magnet" van one more time.    I always called him Stanley

    I’m in!
