ATOM, we didn't play the Bengals that final week of the season.  We played the Bengal backups.  And we barely beat them.

In QB rating, Baker was 19th in 2018,  31st in 2019, 16th in 2020, and 27th last year.

we also beat them 5 out of the last 6 A healthy baker with the team we have around him can and will win and for anyone who thinks rogers or wilson is walking thru the door it aint gonna happen

The Bill, Chiefs, Bengals, Chargers......they're going to be who we have to beat.   Can we keep up with them?   The obvious answer is no.  Why is the answer no?  Because we ain't got no receivers and we've got a midget QB compared to the QB's on those teams.  We got beat twice by the Steelers this year....and Ben was a shell of himself.

KC, Buffalo, Tampa and LA ALL came down the field and scored what amounts to game winning scores (even though 2 of 'em lost).  We would not have been able to do that.  Nick Chubb just can't win us a game like that.

we played both the chargers and chiefs close and have beaten the bingals 4 straight so ya we can with a healthy baker

I can't remember who said they were interviewing Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson and Jaxon Smith-Njiba together (maybe Herbstreit?) but the interviewer point-blank asked all three who the best WR was in the room.

Both Olave and Wilson pointed at Smith-Njiba.

good ole mel have us taking Wilson with the 13th pick

...and so this is the $64k question.  But it's possible that the whole problem is more than just Baker.  Perhaps part of it has to do with our offensive passing scheme...which of course is Stef's baby.  We know that OBJ was not very productive here.  Is it all on Baker?  I wish that I could ask OBJ why he just absolutely had to leave a pretty successful team (at the time of his departure we were still thought to be) right in the middle of the season.

do ya think being that obj is  A #2 in l.a has anything to do with it

The only brain damaged people in this thread are the one's who think Baker is leading us to a Super Bowl. I imagine the brain damage has occurred from years of alcohol abuse (probably due to the Browns) and regularly overdosing on Lawson's chip dip.

o.k so who who gonna get to replace him ?
