  1. I didn't ask why people go to see the statues. I asked why statues of individuals are created? There are around 700 CSA statues all over the south, I don't think many people go out of their way to see them. So comparing Mt Rushmore to CSA monuments is not apples to apples comparison. "Traitor" is pretty simple (not sure why you inserted racist?). Just because they were all pardoned for "treason against the United States". Doesn't mean they were never traitors, just means their crime was forgiven.
  2. Why are statues created of a person? To honor that person. Why are we "still" honoring traitors to our country?
  3. U.S. Marines banning their flag in public spaces. https://www.marinecorpstimes.com/news/your-marine-corps/2020/06/06/marine-corps-bars-public-display-of-confederate-flag-on-installations/ U.S. Navy is following their lead and also banning their flag and symbols https://thehill.com/policy/defense/501921-navy-to-ban-confederate-flag-symbols-from-its-bases-and-ships U.S. Army is considering a ban as well https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2020/06/10/army-leaders-to-make-decision-on-confederate-flags-soon/ U.S. Army also considering rename military bases names after leaders https://thehill.com/homenews/media/501882-petraeus-time-to-remove-names-of-confederate-traitors-like-benning-bragg-from A bunch of their monuments celebrating their heroes have been destroyed or removed https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/n7wbxk/confederate-statues-and-other-symbols-of-racism-all-over-the-country-were-destroyed-by-protesters-this-weekend UPDATE: NASCAR banned the Confederate flag from its races and properties https://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/nascar-bans-confederate-flag-races-properties-71182718 I never understood why people celebrated traitors to our country. Nice to see the practice is going out of style. You can remember history without celebrating it.
  4. National Polls don't really matter and it's still too early for the State Polls to really matter. Cheetos Jesus isn't going to win the popular vote, that is already a forgone conclusions. Well to some whinny bitches they mean a lot. 😄
  5. https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/nj-trump-supporter-mocks-george-floyds-death-as-protesters-passed/2425224/ A white man in South Jersey knelt on another man's neck as a group of Black Lives Matter protesters marched by on Monday, mocking the way George Floyd died and sending shocked reactions through the crowd and on social media. The past 24 hours have roiled Franklin Township as the clips racked up thousands of views on social media.
  6. Yeah there are quite a few deplorables on this forum.
  7. https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/06/james-mattis-denounces-trump-protests-militarization/612640/ "I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled. The words “Equal Justice Under Law” are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation. When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside. We must reject any thinking of our cities as a “battlespace” that our uniformed military is called upon to “dominate.” At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict—a false conflict—between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part. Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them.James Madison wrote in Federalist 14 that “America united with a handful of troops, or without a single soldier, exhibits a more forbidding posture to foreign ambition than America disunited, with a hundred thousand veterans ready for combat.” We do not need to militarize our response to protests. We need to unite around a common purpose. And it starts by guaranteeing that all of us are equal before the law.Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that “The Nazi slogan for destroying us…was ‘Divide and Conquer.’ Our American answer is ‘In Union there is Strength.’” We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis—confident that we are better than our politics.Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children. We can come through this trying time stronger, and with a renewed sense of purpose and respect for one another. The pandemic has shown us that it is not only our troops who are willing to offer the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of the community. Americans in hospitals, grocery stores, post offices, and elsewhere have put their lives on the line in order to serve their fellow citizens and their country. We know that we are better than the abuse of executive authority that we witnessed in Lafayette Square. We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution. At the same time, we must remember Lincoln’s “better angels,” and listen to them, as we work to unite.Only by adopting a new path—which means, in truth, returning to the original path of our founding ideals—will we again be a country admired and respected at home and abroad. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Mattis James Norman Mattis is a retired United States Marine Corps general and former government official who served as the 26th United States Secretary of Defense from January 2017 through January 2019. Wikipedia Born: September 8, 1950 (age 69 years), Pullman, WA Previous office: United States Secretary of Defense (2017–2018) Awards: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Distinguished Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal
  8. Yeah, if they don't believe anything other than what their king says it a waste of time. Facts = whatever they are told by their king. I see the board has turned into a righty safe place.
  9. I figured. Wouldn't want your right wing bubble to break. Please continue your path of turning into another baby cow. Bye-bye.
  10. I don't, I'm trying to make a point with Old and his articles of outrage. These "news" stories about random people from who gives a fuck. For some reason he thinks this anecdotal events represent the majority of whichever group he want to denigrate. I can post pages of stories about racist right wing nuts, but it doesn't mean all of the right are racist. Unfortunately Old doesn't understand this basic idea.
  11. Where is all the racism we hear about on the right? Oh here it is. https://theweek.com/speedreads/816879/gop-rep-steve-king-asks-why-white-nationalist-white-supremacist-are-offensive-terms Except this isn't some random person, this is a GOP rep.
  12. I was going to post videos of right wingers saying demo wanted open borders. But spamming videos is stupid. You guys decided which time you were lying and let me know. Demo want the wall or open borders? "Every single Democrat in the U.S. Senate has signed up for the open borders, and it's a bill, it's called the ‘open borders bill.’" - Cheetos Jesus October 6th, 2018
  13. What are you talking about? The Demos want open borders. That is what Cheetos Jesus and you TDIMS have been crying about for the past 3 years. What happen to Mexico paying for the wall? https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/illegal-immigration-democrats-open-borders/ https://cis.org/Krikorian/Yes-Democrats-Are-Open-Borders I could put twenty more, but you get the point.
  14. Paying that plus the billions more on wall that doesn't work is even stupider. But your war hero would gets to put his name on something.
  15. Well people that aren't stupid can figure it out the difference. Clinton's fence isn't in the middle of no where. One person could watch the fence and respond if someone tried something. When you have hundreds of miles of fence, watching and responding will take thousand of man hours. Paying people 70k a year to sit in a truck for 6 to 10 hours a day, doing nothing. But like I said stupid people like our moron president lack the ability to think about the details.
  16. Coyotes will just cut the fence, then we can pay somebody a few grand to fix it. Then they will cut it again, pay some more to fix. Repeat... All because people are scared and stupid.
  17. Thanks for using a garbage article twice. Always good to recycle.
  18. Here hoping quicksaws can't be purchase in Mexico. 🙄 Damn it... Checked Amazon, they are available and can be gas powered. Hey I'm sure they won't use them, right?
  19. Seems all the TDIMS are posting their facebook feed now..
