The Browns on Sunday signed QB Jacob Sirmon.

Sirmon, who finished his collegiate career at Northern Colorado, participated in this past weekend's Browns rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

Sirmon attended the University of Washington and Central Michigan before transferring to Northern Colorado in 2022. As a senior in 2023, Sirmon completed 133-of-236 passes for 1,355 yards and eight touchdowns.

IRS Audit Could Cost Trump $100 Million — ProPublica

Former President Donald Trump used a dubious accounting maneuver to claim improper tax breaks from his troubled Chicago tower, according to an IRS inquiry uncovered by ProPublica and The New York Times. Losing a yearslong audit battle over the claim could mean a tax bill of more than $100 million.

The 92-story, glass-sheathed skyscraper along the Chicago River is the tallest and, at least for now, the last major construction project by Trump. Through a combination of cost overruns and the bad luck of opening in the teeth of the Great Recession, it was also a vast money loser.

But when Trump sought to reap tax benefits from his losses, the IRS has argued, he went too far and in effect wrote off the same losses twice.

  3. Three prosecutors filed indictments against former President Donald Trump in close succession after he announced another run for president against Joe Biden in 2024.

The indictments from New York, federal and Georgia prosecutors have raised concerns about coordination with the Biden administration.

New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg met with federal law enforcement before indicting Trump on a state charge.

Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis indicted Trump after her top prosecutor had two meetings at the White House.

The timing of the indictments – on days of revelations about Biden’s handling of classified documents and Hunter Biden’s dealings – have led Trump to assert they constitute election interference as Biden does not want to face him in 2024.+

The prosecutors have not denied meetings with the White House

Not a dem.  If you actually read the words written you wouldn't be assuming any political affiliation.

The risk of lost votes among Jewish voters and very pro Isreal is a far greater than gain from those protesting the number of civilian deaths, Palestinian and aid workers.

Did not say someone can't be investigated.  Noting that alledgidly withholding aid to a foreign government because they refused a request to start an investigation and withholding aid when there are international questions about how those weapons ate being used are not the same.  Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't know what those protestors would or would not protest in other scenarios.   They probably don't know either.

There is currently no information I have seen that actually ties president biden to any of former president trumps many legal issues.

At a 30K foot view he sure does.

At a nuanced view where the tweet was in regards to allegations that President Trump alledgedly withheld 400K in aid because President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine refused President Trumps request of two investigations: one involving his potential opponent in the upcoming 2020 presidential election and a second into unsubstantiated allegations that entities within Ukraine had interfered in the 2016 presidential election vs. Withholding shipments of bombs to Isreal at a time when there are international questions as to if how Isreal is using those and if their use is violating international and US law would be very different things.  Details matter.  But I understand why politicians are aelective with them.

Like the investigations Biden is putting Trump through in GA, FLA, and two in NY into unsubstantiated allegations to interfered in the 2024 presidential election ?

The Biden administration has put a hold on a shipment of military aid to Israel in a nakedly political attempt to win votes in key swing states. Presidents have been impeached for far less.

The Impoundment Control Act of 1974 (ICA) governs the control of funds appropriated by Congress. It was enacted to reassert Congress' power of the purse and prevent the president from simply substituting their own funding decisions for those of Congress. While it was once an obscure rule on governing spending, the masses may remember it for its brief starring role in the first impeachment of President Donald J. Trump. As the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry report explained:

  7. Biden ripped over resurfaced anti-Trump tweet critics say 'endorses his own impeachment'

Biden ripped over resurfaced anti-Trump tweet critics say 'endorses his own impeachment' | Fox News

President Joe Biden was blasted on social media this week over a past anti-Trump tweet that critics said showed he should be impeached for withholding some weapons from Israel if it moves forward with a military operation in Rafah, Gaza.

"President Trump withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to Ukraine unless they granted him a political favor," Biden tweeted as a candidate in 2019 about the impeachment push against Trump over a phone call with Ukraine that Democrats claimed was a "quid pro quo."

"It's the definition of quid pro quo. This is no joke—Trump continues to put his own personal, political interests ahead of the national interest. He must be impeached."

Trump was ultimately impeached  for "abuse of power" and "obstruction of Congress" related to his dealings with Ukraine.

Biden’s 2019 post drew immediate push back on social media from conservatives who argued that Biden’s recent move to withhold some military aid from Israel due to his objection to their military campaign in Gaza was similar to what Democrats accused Trump of during the impeachment.

"Joe Biden endorses his own impeachment," Red State writer Bonchie posted on X.

"Wow — how newly relevant,"  New York Post reporter Jon Levine posted on X.

"This is no joke—Biden continues to put his own personal, political interests ahead of the national interest. He must be impeached," Federalist co-founder Sean Davis posted on X.

"Joe Biden is withholding Congressionally appropriated aid to Israel unless they grant him a political favor. It's the definition of quid pro quo," conservative communicator Steve Guest posted on X.
