I love our team, but it always seems our future success is dependent on some version of a leopard changing its spots. We Browns fans are always in a position where we say, "forget about what happened before this week, we are going forward with a new vigor", as in, "NOW we are ready to roll. I fear, and believe that we have already witnessed the Browns at their best. My feeling is that we have seen what these players and staff have to give. The players, to me get a higher rating than the staff, but I think we have seen what we are going to see. I think we have a .500 type team, and that's it.

The Steelers frustrate those who rely on statistics, analytics, x's and o's and player comparisons to make predictions. I am not worshipping the Steelers and don't want to get into all that stupid argument bullshit, but they are physically aggressive, and that, given how many of today's players are not committed, is often enough for the them to go above their raisin'. It wasn't game plan success, they just fucked the Ravens over by punching them in the face. TJ Watt is a disruptor. Stefanski is a pussy.

Win, lose or draw a Sunday watching the Browns is always the best Sunday. There are a lot of technically very smart analytical guys on TBB. However, I don't believe this mess is about x's and o's, but instead one of not having a strong, self-determined leader. A race isn't over until the end, but the Browns franchise is simply not very good. In every tough game, when the chips are down, the Browns fall apart at the seams. It would be one thing if the team suffered player weaknesses in a certain area, but the fuck ups are like Lizzo.....they are all over the place, and no unit is cock-sure solid. The blame? I have no idea. What I do know is that this is not a winning franchise. Shit happens, but fuck, sometimes you have to win when shit happens. This team just can't.

Here in Memphis it is a real quagfuckmire. We have a vigorous Backers group, but sadly I don't know where we meet to watch games these days. Fly-by-night Steelers/Cowboys fans always start fights, arguments, piss off the staff being rude and not tipping and literally add a component of life threat to the games. Memphis is the FBI #1 dangerous city in the US to begin with, so going to a sports tavern is no longer something I will do. I get to see the Browns on select games, and that's it. I have Sirius on my phone and usually listen with the dogs and a cigar out back. God, I miss the days of my Dad yelling up at the roof at my Mom, to turn to the left, adjust her aluminum foil hat and hold the rabbit ears up high so we could get a clear picture on tv.
