Yep, the internet polls are. It's just an indication, only good if other polls

show the same kind of information.

But the fact that it isn't CBS is good,...

any poll can be skewed, even inadvertently, I think.

Yeah, but it's really easy to mess with an internet poll. If you're liberal, you can go to places like reddit, and see polls that get brought up supporting one side of view, then asking everyone to show some muscle. I'm sure the same thing happens at conservative websites too. And then there's the asshole of the internet (which will not be named), you get the biggest idiots on both sides bringing up polls just to xxxx with them, though more often it happens with more trivial shit such as

http://remotecontrol.mtv-q.mtvi.com/2010/0...-it-forgivable/

Just look at the results for something these people could give a shit less about. What do you think happens when it comes to something they have passion for, like their political beliefs.

Wow.

You posted one of these again? Can't deny it now, I've got an internet poll linked from Drudge?

Holy mother of God. We've been over this at least five times, and yet it still hasn't sunk in.

Just when you think this board can't get any more embarrassing, it does.

Yet you keep on coming back. Why is that? Be honest.

Like I said,

and Heck did it AGAIN !

but a bad blip is just not something to consider as valid."

whatever exactly I said....@@

What the ...

Steve? Is this the same Steve I've been talking to for years?

LOL

Awww c'mon Heck, I just decided to mention Soros whenever you beat the Drudge drum.

Hey I might wish this poll was for real but that doesn't mean I believe it.

(shucks he probably doesn't deserve all Fs.)

The Drudge drum isn't being beaten by me, man. When you take an internet poll that was linked to by Drudge, sending all of Drudge's viewers over there to participate in the poll, and then you post that internet poll's results as proof of anything other than Drudge's ability to affect internet traffic, you're a true idiot.

Add in the fact that we've been over this "internet poll" thing a dozen times, even recently, and you've really got to wonder about what's rattling around between someone's ears.

Steve, are you blind?

I guess you don't go to Drudge's website every day, and good for you. But whether or not they say the name Drudge, just about everything that gets posted in here by certain people is from Drudge, or was on Drudge. The fact that I point it out doesn't make me the one who is always on about Drudge.

Much like if I posted opinion pieces linked off Huffington Post every day and you said, "This is a partisan link from Huffington Post" that wouldn't mean you're always pushing slanted news from Huffington Post. It'd mean I was.

And if I posted an internet poll from Democratic Underground as proof of the popularity of health care reform, I'd hope you'd call bullshit on that too. Except I wouldn't do that because I graduated 8th grade.

I don't know that I've ever been on it Heck.

Mostly I remember he broke the Lewinsky scandal when the regulars were afraid to offend Clinton.

But no, I don't follow it.

To be honest most guys whose earnings derive from a shrill left or right position bore me.

But I'll look it up now just to see how outrageous it is today.

>> OK just went there.

It actually seems to link up to nearly every pundit there is.

And multiple AP links.

I didn't see anything directing people to abuse the CBS internet polls etc but I didn't look that hard.

Well, then you don't get the joke. I mean, it's not like it's a big secret either.

It's not that it's crazy. It's that it's manipulative. His idea is to twist stories to benefit conservatives. He often writes his own headlines, knowing that a lot of people read those and not the stories. He also likes to single quote people, which isn't the same as a quote, but people mistake it as one. It's just his summation.

The links are irrelevant. They're just a way to exchange traffic with other sites.

As for the CBS poll, that was up last week, but isn't anymore. His links change all the time.

Ps - Funny story for you: Used to work with a guy whose wife was good friends with Monica in high school, and kept telling us for weeks that his wife's friend was blowing the president. Of course, everyone was like, "Yeah, right. And I'm xxxxing the Pope."

It isn't about Drudge Heck. Stop with the progressive moveonupObamao'crotch.org talking points.

Drudge LINKS to places where there are articles that are CONSERVATIVE.

it ISN'T DRUDGE making them up, or posting them.

It is just a COLLECTION OF LINKS TO WHERE THE INFORMATION IS.

wouldn't you like a liberal site to link to all these conservative articles all over the web?

it is NOT a DRUDGE poll. It is CBS FREAKIN ONLINE NEWS. What the hell diff does it make that

Drudge links to it? Surely, you must be kidding.

Last time I looked, CBS news wasn't a part of the "frigthening right wing attack machine" that

terrifies you lib progressive guys.

Heck....

Go look. I posted the poll without any comment of my own.

I thought it was interesting that it wasn't Fox... it was CBS.

If it had been CNN, it would have been dumped into the round

file cabinet.

You are really lowering the level of your discourse to a new low.

We don't need your snide, cowardly change of subjects again.

If you can't handle a simple online poll, then don't blame the messenger.

I admitted it was an online poll, and I never said it proved any freakin thing.

Now, Heck, you show me where in the hell in this thread I said anything like

"See? I'm right and this poll proves it !"

You're just angry, Heck, that the results of the poll isn't to your liking,

and it made you lose your lunch or something...

By the way, I just went to Drudge. You can't tell how that's slanted for political purposes? Really??

But I can do that with the straight news pages of the NYT.

I don't think there's a straight news organization left.

Cronkite ended all of that.

Now you choose your side and pitch to them.

It's rarely as overt as Hannity or Olbermann.

Let's do a little experiment. Here are the top headlines on the NYT's website right now:

U.S. to Seek $16.4 Million Fine Against Toyota

6 Dead and 21 Missing After W.Va. Mine Blast

In Mexico, Resuming Life After the Quake

Crowds Cited in Times Sq. Shootings

U.S. Consulate in Pakistan Is Attacked by Militants

Vatican Declined to Pursue Accused Priest

Woods Faces Questions

U.S. Sued Over Nuclear Waste Fees

I don't detect an ounce of bias in any of those. They're simply straight news headlines.

Let's try some of Drudge's headlines:

HILLARY MESS: Karzai Slams the West -- Again...

Afghan leader threatens to join Taliban...

Accuses USA of 'massive fraud'...

'Unserious About Iran'...

GROVE: Death of the White House Press Corps...

Report on $ocial $ecurity delayed...

OIL NEARS $87...

Santelli: $4 Gas, $150 Oil Coming This Summer...

Reagan to Replace Grant on $50 Bill?

White supremacist leader killed in South Africa...

Murder 'could spark race war at World Cup'...

OBAMA JEERED, CHEERED AT NATIONAL'S OPENING DAY...

...Then there's a link to a Washington Times piece about Obama's opening day called "Missed by a mile!'

Now you can tell the difference between these two, right? And by Drudge standards, this was a fair day.

Come on, man. Don't go nuts on me. This is the kind of point Cal would make.

I know! That's totally what they're doing!

Here are some more:

Obama Limits When U.S. Would Use Nuclear Arms

At Least 7 Die in West Virginia Coal Mine Explosion

Duke Slips Past Butler to Win Its 4th Title

I mean, can you believe these headlines? They think we're not on to them, but we are.

And now for the even handed-Drudge headlines:

NO NUKES: EVEN IN SELF-DEFENSE!

Obama to further restrict when nuke weapons may be used... Developing...

Even if we're hit with chemical/bio weapons?

...Yes, thank God for Drudge. Hate those partisans at the New York Times, and their partisan news headlines.

Damn partisans.

But it's true. Even if we were hit by biological or chemical weapons, Obama won't allow

a nuke to be fired in our defense.

Obamao's new Bolshevik motto:

"If you aren't with me taking over, just die, baby"
