djdawg2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Report Share Posted June 24, 2010 Nah it's not a shame. First and foremost that fan base is easily the most annoying I've ever encountered. Well it's a tie between the Bengals and the diehard browns fans that were at every game Sunday at Buffalo Wild Wings in downtown kent. It was a group of social outcasts for sure with one vocal leader. The white haired gremlin if you will and the entire time and in a raspy voice he'd yell about Joey Porter getting shot in the a$$ anytime the Steelers did anything positive or for him negative. He was doing this even when Porter had moved on to the Dolphins. Either way Bengal fans are much worse because they're delusions of grandeur are astronomical, at least most Browns fans have come to grips with the franchise rebuilding. In Bengal land they're team is preordained. Add in the fact that they routinely take on the headcases and Palmer cries more than he throws TD's. It's a recipe for heartache. I do like Chad Johnson but he's the token. I'd take him on the Steelers in a New York minute. Chad Johnson is a head case. He is good, but I think he'd be 100 times better if he would shut his pie hole, and play the game. Paul Brown always said "act like you've been there." More players need to act that way IMO. I don't see many Bengals fans. Seems like the Browns and Steelers have the larger and more dedicated fanbases in our division. Yeah, us Browns fans realize we're rebuilding. Given the way the NFL is set up, a team can improve drastically within a years time. Because of who we hired, I'm willing to give them time to put it all together. We need continuity, but I don't want the Bengals type of continuity where they don't make any changes. All though I have to think Marvin Lewis may be better off with a different team under different circumstances. Who knows? I don't go to bars too often to watch football games. I worked in bars and clubs as a DJ for many years. Too much drama, and too many amateurs who can't handle their alcohol and shouldn't be drinking anyway. It's cheaper to watch from the confines of my couch. Plus it's not like I'm gonna get thrown out of my own house for cussing at the tv. Though my wife has told me to go outside to cool off and smoke a cigarette. Especially after we blew a game against you guys a few years back. I went into the hallway and started kicking all of the shoes, and damn near put my fist through the door to the garage. Of course, I had a couple in me. They play well once every 5 years and then half the team gets arrested and Marvin Lewis is on the verge of getting fired. He'll have that stupid look on his face in no time. Carson Palmer will be crying and Cedric Benson will be bringing guns to practice. Well, that is a prediction that I would not be willing to rely on when it comes to their play on the field. MOST browns/osu fans are not guilty of the things that you're claiming. i think there's only a small percent of browns fans that get caught up into wanting to draft osu players. and most people don't hate be just because he played for michigan. be's big mouth, diva like ways and lack of proffessionalism made people dislike him. plus be was more concerned with non-football related things like modelling and he was a spoiled brat who was undsciplined and was constantly disobedient to his coaches. his dropsies were a direct result of him not focusing on what the browns were paying him for. he MADE browns fans as a whole dislike him and gave the small percent of browns fans (who had a grudge against him for playing for michigan) a reason to act on their hate. as far as wanting tressell for a coach, very few browns fans wanted that hire. you seem like a cool dude and i agree with you the majority of the time, but it sounds like you have something against osu fans. my guess is that you know or know of some osu fans (who also happen to be browns fans) that probably act high and mighty (as an osu fan) and you're judging all of us based on that. with any winning orginization, you're going to have snobby, stuck up fans. just look at how the steeler trolls act on here. arrogant, entitled and they think being a fan of a winning team makes them superior in life and makes their opinions more credible than others. it's sad, but true. I hate... sorry.... strongly dislike him, because he was a drama queen, and dropped balls. I like Ohio State, and all, but once you leave college, and if you're not wearing the orange and brown, then I don't care!!!!! Perfect example... Santonio Holmes. Once he became a Steeler, sorry you're now the "enemy." As for Robiskie I think he'll come along. From what I understand he had a rough first year at OSU.
