has anybody else guessed that "1 more season" is lumberg ?

This thread should be closed already. @@

DA has a strong arm, a weak qb mind, gigantic feet and his own bbq sauce.

Under pressure, his bbq sauce and gigantic feet take over, and the worst happens.

OH, and continuing to support DA as an NFL qb, is like hanging onto an elephants' tail

and refusing to ever let go.

Eventually, you are going to get crapped on.

He was so great in 2007 that he kept us out if the playoffs by losing to a Bengals team that was out of the hunt. All those ints killed us.

EXACTLY!!!!! We controlled our OWN destiny in that season! Granted, Indy tanked the last game to rest their starters (BTW how did that work out for them, LOL!)... but, we were the 6th seed in the playoff race, edging Tennessee out because of a better record in conference or something like that. That loss to Cincy moved Tennessee ahead and bumped us out. Had we won that game against the Bungles we would have been 11-5, and would have won the division, because the Stools lost their last game, and they would have been the ones sitting home!

Anyway, I really wanted to see one of the two QBs work out and it's unfortunate that this clusterf**k of an organization couldn't put it together! At any rate, I will go as far to wish them well with their new teams, but quite frankly they no longer wear the orange and brown, and therefore I really don't give a s*** anymore! They're gone, and I'd rather focus on the players currently on the team!

da is basically gomer pyle with a rocket launcher. a whole lot of fire power, but very little brain power to consistently hit the correct targets (esp. the short range targets).

Anyone who thinks DA is a good QB knows nothing about football. There are many topics in football that are open to debate. However, debating whether or not DA is a good QB is not one of them.

what's funny is that all of this da homerism comes as a result of da doing enough to help his team beat the rams. uh, the rams aren't a good football team. so da and the cards didn't exactly accomplish something that would warrant a "da gets the last laugh" thread.

i think it's dumb to start second guessing holmgren's decision just because da does enough to help his team beat a pathetic rams team. da and the cards will win a few games. no need for knee jerk reactions or overreacting. da and the cards won one game thus far and that's all they did.

Bernie Kosar could teach the "Any Which Way You Can" orangutan "Clyde" to

be a better qb in a big game than DA. @@

no one can TEACH a qb how to be smart or accurate. either a qb is born with intellect and accuracy or they're not. da wasn't born with intellect and accuracy. not sure why people think this guy was worth holding onto.

Closest any other QB got the Browns aside from the Holcomb, Slouch playoff year. So all you anti-Anderson fans weren't happy with 10-6? Obviously not because you all screamed for Brady the next year.

Steve Young was a cast off from TB because they said he couldn't make it in the NFL. The Falcons traded Favre.

Derek Anderson is not and will never be close to either of those two.

Yeah sure, happy with 10-6. But not too happy with his performance since then.

Were we a playoff team last year? I think not.

exactly. da just doing enough to help the cards win doesn't signify that the browns should have kept him. the cards will win a game here and there with da as the qb. big deal! he's still a crappy qb who has a rocket launcher arm and a pea brain. beating the rams doesn't change that fact.

You're right. It's just the Rams, but Browns lost to Tampa. Rams are powerhouse compare to Bucs.

AZ has solid run game, good WR's and now they added solid QB. DA is not the top tier QB, but he's good enough that Card won't have to worry about that position for 3-4 years. Meanwhile they can improve other areas.

Now lets see about the Browns: no WR's, no run game, no QB. Browns got what? Special teams? Cribbs? And you're telling me that we just 1 QB away from SB? Right...

Look at Jets. Sanchez is not Manning or Brees, but he's good enough, so they can spend their money on the best secondary in the league.

Browns will always be 4-12 team as long as owner thinks that new coach, qb, gm will take them from 4-12 to 16-0 in a year.

Go away. First you, in a gay way join this board and bastardize someone's screen name, then you have nothing but negative comments. You're a jerk.

But he's right. We got no wide receivers except maybe for Massaquoi, got no good quarterbacks, it is the truth, and unfortunately for us, it is the cold hard truth.

Solid qb? What you smoking? Career 53% completion rate, 73 qb rating SCREAMS mediocre backup. If you aren't completing around 60% of your passes you're mediocre. Manning and Brees are at 64% and Peyton's early year Colts sucked far worse than anything Anderson had to deal with.

BTW, Holmgren is already on record that the 2010 Browns are so messed up, it's going to take more than one year to fix things. So who around here was saying anything about Super Bowl? Most of us would be happy with .500 this year.

i guess you're just going to make this call after one game? don't wait till the end of the season or atleast midseason to see how things pan out. just go the knee jerk reaction route and make a premature statement. way to let a fake brownsboard member influence your judgement.

why don't you just stop watching the browns games now since you and the fake brownsboard guy have it all figured out?
