They've taken some quotes from the Ryan thread and are laughing it up. Some of them I think realize they have one of the most helpless franchises in history and an owner who's senile ramblings/actions are putting their team in jeopardy of ever being a contender again. Did you listen to the babbling incoherent press conference he had after firing Kiffin? Did you pay attention when he traded a second round pick for Hall and then released him for nothing? Did you watch when he shelled out millions to free agents no other team would touch with a ten foot pole? AL Davis was a very good owner at one time, but those days are long over and the only hope your team has is for him to turn the reigns over to someone else. The Raiders have talent I like them, but Davis needs to let go, He's killing Raider nation! As for Ryan, He had the Raiders defense as the top 3 defense in the NFL in 2006 and is well respected throughout the NFL as a great DC. From what Ive heard from Raider fans and your raider nation board is that Davis handcuffed him throughout his time there. Then comes along Kiffin in 2007. The defense they've played since he arrived and the one you're referring to man coverage with a 4 man rush is the Tampa 2 Kiffins daddies D. It's been well publicized Rob was not fond of it or Kiffin for making him change. So in reality your wrong that was Kiffins D you didn't like! In 2005 and 2006 the Raiders ran a hybrid 3-4 4-3 D that resembles what his brother in Baltimore does and in 2006 it flourished with the acquisition of some young talent through the draft and some key free agent signings. If they would of left it alone it would of maintained its success but Kiffin had to come and and bring with him the Tampa 2 you so much despise. Did you watch the Raiders defense in 2006? It was totally different then it is now and was last year! For instance look at how Derrick Burgess flourished in 2005 and 2006 with 16 and 11 sacks. Once you went to the Tampa 2 his numbers dropped along with the rest of the defense. Thats just one example, Rob will have the personnel and the say to run the defense he wants to run without being handcuffed to players and a scheme he doesn't like! As for you living in Northern Ohio I hope you weren't born there and are from California because If you were that shows your true colors. As Adam Schefter of NFL Network points out, the Raiders have lost three assistant coaches in one day — offensive coordinator Greg Knapp, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, and running backs coach Tom Rathman. Trust me when I tell you this NO ONE in Raider nation wants romeo, I think he's a great guy but a joke of a HC. You guys will be much better off with Eric. Maybe Rayn comes in and does a good job for you, the players love him, but his schemes are dreadful! Best of luck next year, I will keep checking in. I love my browns, but it is the truth! However, for argument's sake, The Raiders have not had a winning season since 2002. In fact, they have not won more than 5 games in any season since then. Their overall record from 2003 'til now is 24-72. In that same span, the Browns have posted 1 winning season and an additional season better than any in Oakland in the same span. The Browns are 33-63. The NFL is all about "What have you done for me lately?" Neither team has done much. But, I'll take the Browns' recent history over your Gayders! In fact, I would like to point out the fact that, in that same span, the Detroit Lions have posted 2 seasons with at least 6 wins and an overall record of 26-70. So, when looking at who is in the worst shape of all the NFL teams, I would have to put your Raiders right on the bottom with the Lions. The Browns have not stooped that low yet. Regardless, both teams are in bad shape. At least the Browns have some sort of structure started and are actually headed in the right direction. PS...remember that the Browns are actually an expantion team since '99. We did not have anything to start with. PSS...How many Pro Bowlers do the Raiders currently have? The Raiders are riding a 2 game win streak into the offseason with an impressive win over the Bucs who needed a win to make the playoffs. The Browns only have talent on offense and your two best players will be gone before next season or after! Yeah you guys are headed in the right direction. You play in maybe the toughest division in football and you guys are leaps and bounds away from either the Ravens or the Steelers! You say it's a what have you done for me league, well lately you went 4-12 and we went 5-11! I am going to save this site so I can come back and laugh when Rob Ryan runs your defense even further in to the gorund then it already is! You have not a player on defense NOT ONE! One lucky season for the Browns and everybody wants to be a fan again. Truly sad, we will see when the Raiders come to Cleveland and run through you guys with Fargas/McFadden/Bush! I hope Williams and Rodgers are ready! Not to mention you guys gave up all your draft picks to get those chumps! The Raiders have far more talent then you guys on defense and wou guys do have players on offense like Winslow and Edwards but Unfortunately for you they won't be on that shitty team anymore! The Browns suck and always have! Since 99 havent you guys lost like 102 games! Bring up the Raiders record all you want since 2002, but if memort serves me right I think the Raiders were in the Super Bowl that year.
