Weeden is right up there with the 2 other QBs stat-wise. The ONLY knock on him is his age. If he was 23, he would go 1 or 2. But who cares, he'll give us atleast 8 great years. Luck and RG3 were hyped up so much by media. Would any media outlet want to hype up a 28 year old? I think not. Is it possible that Justin Blackmon is just an average receiver made great by Weeden? Something to think about. I'm syked!

For those in doubt, I really want to know your knock on him other than age.

I would say the two knocks against him, from a Browns fan's perspective are his age, would rather see McCoy start, or that they wanted a WR at 22. I'm not sure even if he were younger that he'd be a top5 talent, but I'm sure he'd be top10. I hated the pick at first for both his age and I'll admit a part of me wanted to see Colt as the QB of the future. But the more I thought about it, I'm actually looking forward to seeing what he can do.

As far as the media, the always controversial Skip Bayless is on record saying Cleveland should have taken him at 4. Now that might be a stretch, but I think a mixture of playing at Ok State and being drafted by the Browns hurts his media exposure. I guarantee if he were to be drafted by a team like the Jets or Cowboys it would have been the lead story on ESPN. But hell Kyrie Irving has one of the best rookie seasons in the past decade and ESPN hasn't mentioned it once. Just the way it is...

He wouldn't got 1 considering Luck played in a pro system and with RGIII's ability as a runner added with his passing he wouldn't go 2 either. But I will agree that he would have been a top 5 pick and would have been picked ahead of Tannehill.

Didn't Weeden also beat Luck and RG3 last year and had better numbers? Cant blame it on Stan or Baylors defense either because its not like OKST was anything special

Weeden is so tough, the NFL says he doesn't need to wear a helmet since his hair is already orange.

I think the hardest pick a team can make is one that goes against the "experts" determinations of what he thinks that team's needs are. No matter who they picked at 22, if it wasn't one of the 2 or 3 top projected receivers left, there were going to be unhappy fans out there. The more they look at Weeden's accomplishments the better at least some will feel about the pick.

Brandon Weeden is 1/8th Cherokee. This has nothing to do with ancestry, the man ate a f*cking Indian.
