Fun Draft Game

Nothing says fun like a gay Steeler fan

I was just trying to share a fun draft simulator that I thought people would enjoy. Then the ignorant administrator decided to change the link. If anyone wants to try it go to first-pick .com

This game is actually kind of fun but wholly unrealistic.

I ended up drafting Xavier Rhodes, Baccari Rambo, Tyrann Mathieu, Barkevious Mingo, Jon Bostic, Jordan Pugh, and Devin Thomas.

if that's the game the browns FO plays 7 days from now, i'm all in. great picks.

Yeah, I would love that to actually happen. At best, we land Mingo and maybe Rambo.

You should try the game. It only takes a couple minutes.

a couple of minutes is taking away from my detailed thoughts on how i would torture the prick they caught alive that bombed the boston marathon on patriots day.

we are to soft in this country. the guy should be hung from a tree in boston commons.

Here's my shot at it. St. Louis offered both their firsts for the 6 pick. I somehow don't think that's going to happen irl.

I got something like 4100 last night but can't find the draft, apparently it doesn't get stored (fair enough). But the thing is so unfair and unrealistic - I had at one point pick 14, and St Louis offered picks 16 and 22. I ended up with two first rounders and about 5 second rounders. If the draft works out like that then sure, amazing, but I suspect there might be some questions asked.

Trouble is, no FS. still get a high score. Should perhaps take in to account strength of roster before and afterwards.

That's the flaw in this game.

That draft would be absolutely fucking horrible for us, but in terms of value it's fantastic.

I would love to know how that draft would be horrible for us, I think it would be pretty awesome

Two tight ends? I'm not sure we even need to draft one. Tavon Austin working with Chud and Norv would be amazing though. We should look to draft a CB higher than that - Alford isn't necessary nailed on to start opposite Haden and we nede someone who will be a legit CB2, no questions asked. Other than that, OG fine, FS fine, plus some special team fodder.

You're serious?

Taking a WR and two TE's before we take a CB or FS? TE's may be a bigger factor in today's game, but taking two in the draft would leave us with 5 on the roster, which is a waste. We already have our two starting WR's in Little and Gordon, along with Nelson in the slot and Benjamin at the 4th position. We don't need another WR, at least not yet.

After the second round, I wouldn't mind any of those picks (except I'd sub Nassib for Jones). But if we trade down and still don't manage to get at least one of the top 2-3 in our biggest positions of need (Jordan, Ansah, Jones, Mingo, Rhodes, Hayden, Milliner, Warmack) then the draft was a bust.

We are in position to get one fantastic player and one or two good players in our biggest positions of need. If we fuck that up, it would be a horrible draft.

They way I see it our offense is the problem, our defense was fine. Adding Alford and Rambo to the secondary would make them much better than last year. Adding Tavon, a guard and the two TE's would put our offense on the map for good. Offense is a much bigger problem right now, we have to put points on the board.

From all the reports it looks like we'll be blitzing a whole lot more this season and, while I admittedly don't know the nuances of defense as well as any given American, that presumably means we will need corners who can but put 'on an island' and told to lock down the WR. Buster Skrine is not that guy. Eric Hagg is not our safety - he was dropped for a guy who was in turn cut. Now, sure, these players have hopefully improved since last season but I doubt they've turned in to bona fide nfl starters. Whether they ever will is another question.
