Tressel?

So Tressel really is a saint to some here, huh?

I'm happy not everyone is begging for him to be hired though.

What was his record against Michigan again?

And yes, his NCAA violations were not right...but what were they?:

A. His players sell/trade trinkets/Baubles that they owned for tatoos and hamburger money. (Selling/ your own property....given to you by the school is technically a violation. Why? no one knows.)

B. He found out about it......but filed a compliance report that said to his knowledge all his players were eligible to play.

OK, fine. Whatever.

Do you think that such an awful deed should disqualify him from NFL consideration? Where the players are paid millions of dollars and can do whatever they want with their baubles and trinkets?

He may not be right for the NFL for a variety of other reasons having strictly to do with how football is played, but not for that.

The Berea triumvirate has had two weeks to come up with the coach that saved Cleveland with seemingly little notable progress. They've had their share of potential come in

for a visit but find out in the end the prospect was there to touch up on his interview skills for a job with a bona fide NFL franchise. Oh, wait, the Browns are waiting for the

playoffs and Super Bowl to be completed so they can bring in the NFL rock star coaches. that's gotta be it. Sadly, we the fans will settle for another schlep who can dazzle

them in the interview with his understanding of the game and what it take to win but hasn't a clue on how to be a leader of men and a motivator.......getiing the maximum from

every player, on every play, in every fuckin game.

Bring in the sweater dude and forget about these young NFL wannabe coaches who think they can bring the glory back to Cleveland. The upside for Tressel is unlimited

because it really can't get any worse than what they have now. Tressel knows what the Browns mean to northwestern Ohio unlike the list of carpetbaggin mother fuckers who have been

coming in for the big payday only to leave the team no better off that it has been the last 15 years. Can he motivate and coach professionals? That's the million dollar question. He

certainly has had success in the amateur ranks. His fatal flaw was merely trying to protect his players from prying eyes.
