It doesn't mean you are smarter than me as much as you'd like to believe it. The point that seems to have escaped you is the fact that no, you are not particularly offended by being called redneck or honkey or cracker. Even if they are said with hatred. Why not? And if you were upset and, for example, staged a sit in at your school because somebody called you one of those names people would think you are an idiot. And they would be right. That's how it should be across the board. As for your outrage, your outlook on life will change as you accumulate life experience. Maybe you don't believe it now but you will.
