hoorta Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Well not cut yet- but should be I had to look this one up to torture PG. Guess who's averaging a stellar 2.6 ypc in the preseason? Our old pal, none other than "Run to Darkness" Trent Richardson. Boom Herron and a guy I never heard of Zurlon Tipton are doing better. May go down as one of the biggest busts in the history of the NFL- at least Banner and Lombardi got that one right. On a serious note, Vincent Brown cut by the Chargers- any interest, even though he's hurt? Not that old.
Kvoethe Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 TBH wide recivers are easy to find, between gabriel, cameron, etc etc we should be fine. We will pick up a few good ones and be solid with little major investment
Tim Couch Pulls Out Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Major Wright and Jeff Demps cut by Tampa. I'd like to see us make a play for Wright and Hill.
hoorta Posted August 30, 2014 Author Report Posted August 30, 2014 Incidentally, Greg Little released by Raiders. Yet another blown pick. Too bad the guy has stone hands.
Canton Mike Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I'll trust in what Farmer & Company do, but I can't stand WRs who drop passes. We'll see what they think & want. Mike
USFBrown Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I think Stockton would be happy if we picked up Michael Sam.
DieHardBrownsFan Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Let Sam fade away into obscurity.
cvcanedy Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Let Sam fade away into obscurity. SEC DPOY? Doubt that
DieHardBrownsFan Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 SEC DPOY? Doubt that 7TH round pick.
MLD Woody Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Sam played well this offseason, he'll be picked up again
DieHardBrownsFan Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Sam played well this offseason, he'll be picked up again Played so well he got cut.
TexasAg1969 Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 LB Pat Angerer from Atlanta is a surprise. FB Jorvorski Lane retained by the Bucs. Quite a story. He was a very effective TB with very soft hands for A&M but ballooned to 290 lbs and did not get drafted. Worked for a furniture store eventually, did some indoor football, got his weight down below 260 and signed with the Dolphins because Mike Sherman promised him a tryout if he got to that weight. Made their team 2012 after a couple of years out of "real" football, was waived a year ago and went to the Bucs just this year and has now made their team. From rags to riches because he finally realized he had a food problem (kind of like some people need to realize they have a pot problem).
Mr. Make-Believe Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I'll trust in what Farmer & Company do, but I can't stand WRs who drop passes. We'll see what they think & want. Mike Fuck I hate it so much. Dropped passes murder me. I'd gladly overlook all the other attributes if the guy can just catch the ball and hang on to it.
Clevfan4life Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Played so well he got cut. The Rams are quite possibly just as stacked on the D-line as we are. He had no shot obviously of taking Quinn or Long's starting jobs. There just wasn't a place for him. If we ran a 4-3 Sam would be a 3rd or possibly 2nd string DE here in Cleveland. I mean maybe Sheard and Kruger are just "pacing" themselves and Sam was someone fighting for his job...but he looks quicker off the line than any of our "hybrids" so far
MLD Woody Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 (kind of like some people need to realize they have a pot problem). and who would that be? The guy that passed 70* drug tests in a row?
Tim Couch Pulls Out Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Played so well he got cut. Cut from a team that had 7 other defensive ends. A good rule of thumb - research.
Tour2ma Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Old friend Dimitri Patterson was released by the Jets... 49ers cut an interesting 2013 prospect... Ryan Seymour (OG-Vandy) drafted by Saints and immediately sent to Seahawks for an LB... released by Hawks and landed in SF... LB Pat Angerer from Atlanta is a surprise. Agree, but he's been hurt past two years. ATL also released 2014 LB draftee Yawin Smallwood... don't remember hearing his name at all on Hard Knocks...

I'll pass.
DieHardBrownsFan Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Cut from a team that had 7 other defensive ends. A good rule of thumb - research. Thanks kid, I'll remember that. I guess that means he was worse then all seven though....
JAFBF Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Lions cut WR Peacock. Kid looked pretty good against us when we played them . . . don't know if that says a lot though Also saw that the Bears cut WR Bellamy, who also looked good
The Cysko Kid Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Michael sam got cut. Anyone think we could use a homo?
Tim Couch Pulls Out Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Thanks kid, I'll remember that. I guess that means he was worse then all seven though.... Or it means that everyone else is ineligible for the practice squad, excluding Westbrooks, and that Sam will likely clear waivers? Once again...research.
Clevfan4life Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Thanks kid, I'll remember that. I guess that means he was worse then all seven though.... again, from one of the best and deepest defense's in the NFL. He showed he can perform at least against 2nd team O lines. I would have no problems with the Browns giving him a shot if we had a spot for him. If he had played some OLB'er in college I'd say absolutely bring him in. He's not a 3-4 DE so there's really no place for him here.
MLD Woody Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 We've got some ignorant mother fuckers on this board... Sam played very well. He'll end up with some team
BradyBunchBust Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 The browns should sign Champ Bailey to help Justin Gilbert and Joe Haden in there career!!
