The Gipper
So far, here are the leading candidates for the Heisman Trophy: 1.Dak PrescottQBMiss. Winston has turned too many people off with his antics. If Miss St. continues their winning ways Prescott and Mariota would be in a shootout for the award. gftChris
Who is Dak Prescott and why haven't I heard his name before? Is he not draft-eligible?
The Gipper
Who is Dak Prescott and why haven't I heard his name before? Is he not draft-eligible? Click on the link to him. I know you are in the UK and probably don't follow college football much, but Prescott is the Mississippi St. QB who had guided that team.....which has traditionally been a weak sister....into the #1 rated team in the land as it now stands. Not sure about his draft status. He is a junior so he could probably come out...if he wanted to. But it appears he still has eligibility for next year. gftChris
Don't really follow it much, except the higher rated draft prospects.

His draft prospects are still being determined really. http://www.clarionledger.com/story/mississippistatesports/2014/10/15/msu-dak-prescott-nfl-draft-stock/17322661/
MLD Woody
Miss St (and Ole Miss) both have shady as fuck recruiting practices. Now it is paying off for them.

What you are saying is that they have simply evened the field with the rest of their SEC brethren?
MLD Woody
What you are saying is that they have simply evened the field with the rest of their SEC brethren? Ya pretty much. Maybe even raised (lowered?) the bar some. Ole Miss will/should be hut with sanctions for last years recruiting class. Easily.

MLD Woody
And what major program doesn't? A lot of them. People that are fans of teams with shady practices like to say "everyone does it". Jaywalking isn't equal to assault. I'm sure every school has designated classes and tutors and stuff. Not every school oversigns, pays players, gives them cars, abuses medical hardships, gives out free grades, etc.

tiamat63
Woody isn't entirely incorrect. Compared to the rest of the college football landscape, save for maybe USC - The SEC is rampant in the nature of their business. Dare I say even arrogantly overt about it.
