if politicians say there are 5-15 million illegal immigrants then should that number be doubled?

 

If the illegal population is 30 million (and not counted by census?) and the total population is 310 million (per census) then the population the U.S. could be about 340 million people.

 

At that point 8.8% of the population represents 30% of federal crime? and if the five millon illegal immigrants number is real than it's even worse - 1.6% of the population is driving 30% of prison population.

 

in some random net searching 30% of illegal immigrants end up with a criminal record, 12% of illegal immigrants are involved in violent crime. Hard to pin those numbers down.

Illegal immigrants can encompass a lot of nationalities and El Salvador for instance is thr home of the notorious ms-13 gang. That being said a lot of felons are white and a huge number are black and we're not running them down. I mean I'm particularly hard on black American culture in general but it's difficult to generalize everybody because certain races seem to have a higher proclivity towards crime.
