THE BROWNS BOARD

My Silly Observations of Sat's first pads scrimmage - Browns

And since Mary Kay reported he got to go with the 1's, that is a great sign the Browns know exactly what they have. This is gonna get to be awesome this fall.

Here's a nice quote from Terry Pluto(the most sane reporter covering the Browns).....

13. The Browns coaches are trying not to become too excited about Terrelle Pryor...but you can tell, they are excited. As Pettine said, "He's not looked out of place...he's ahead of where we thought he'd be."

And, now practicing with the #1's.......could we get lucky here?.......(we're due)......

It would be a hell of a deal if he is.

to be fair, Marlon Moore was also getting reps with the ones....

So I wouldn't get too excited about Pryor getting reps with ones, as pettine has simply been rotating many guys at many different positikns.

But Marlon Moore wasn't a QB like yesterday... ;)

Great thread start, cal... not often do you see a 6-pack (root beer of course) of +1's for a post... well earned.

Im thinking reps and more reps for Johnny to get comfy and get back to playing in a more natural way.....

....."Haden Bean Shelton III"...

Who is "Bean"? :)

Once we accept that last season was essentially a total loss for JM, then it becomes easy to accept his mechanical look this early. Reps should improve things, but it's more mental than physical. That light that illuminates the hallway from the film room to the practice field has to switch on.

I just find it disturbing that it seems like Manziel is NOT getting any better.,, Hes a wasted pick.. again... dump him while you can Brownies..

You can always dump him. Since June 1 cap savings has been nil, so no hurry to do anything on TC Day 4.

Final Cuts? Depending on his Pre-season there might be a reason then.

Pre season is going to show us a lot about Johnny. Will he settle into the pocket and stand tall (no joke intended)? Will he go through multiple reads, or simply stare at his primary receiver and tuck it and run if he's covered? Will he show any signs of getting better than he was last year, and do so against vanilla defenses?

If in his 2nd year the answer isn't a resounding yes to all of those questions, we all may just have our answer regarding our 1st round pick.
