Tour2ma
*sigh* My #2 concert claim to fame was seeing Eagles open a three-deep concert in the Akron Rubber Bowl summer of 1971 IIRC... Witchy Woman had just started getting airplay and few in the crowd seemed to even pay attention to "the kids" playing on the stage... but I did. They could have cared less about the lack of attention... they loved playing and it showed for the entirety of their 45-minute set. I think I smiled from start to finish... Second group was John McLaughin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra (Billy Cobham, Jan Hammer and Jean Luc Ponty). Headliner was Yes... It was their Fragile tour. Westside Steve
Kind of an odd grouping there. WSS
Tour2ma
lol... it sure was... I did not know and did not "get" McLaughlin that nite, but came to love them later. In fact just bought the reissue of their "Original Album Classics" (5 LPs with latter ones by lesser line ups) and "The Lost Trident Sessions" with some Christmas mad money...
