Ben Carson - a chance ObaMao will impose martial law

I agree with him. History is littered with arrogant mega-dicktaters who crave power,

enough to keep it. That explains the encouraged influx of unvetted Muslims,

and unfettered illegals crossing our border.

And encouraged racial divide. And encouraged class warfare divide. And alienation of

millions of decent, gun owning Americans. the list goes on.

SAN ANTONIO, November 19, 2015 — Dr. Ben Carson, a black neurosurgeon and 2016 Republican presidential candidate, has repeatedly stated that he believes there is a chance that the 2016 elections may not be held at all.

Widespread anarchy gripping the country could be reason enough for the Obama administration to announce the implementation of martial law and the suspension of some, if not all, of Americans’ constitutionally protected rights — including the right to vote and hold national elections.

From JFK to Obama: 50 years of overrated Democrats

On the surface this seems unbelievable, but upon further analysis, Carson’s ominous suggestion is plausible; this is an extremely unnerving scenario that all Americans should be aware of and ready for.

The Obama administration has very quietly and subtly done many inexplicable things that could very well be precursors to the suspension of some, if not all, of Americans’ constitutionally protected civil rights.

Carson went on liberal radio host Alan Colmes’ radio show and the discussion eventually came to whether or not Dr. Carson plans to run for president in 2016. He said that there may not even be elections in 2016; when pressed to explain further, Carson said,

“If in fact we continue to have all these decrees being made the way they’re being made, if in fact we don’t fight the kind of war that needs to be fought in order to really put an end to the threat that is brought on by ISIS, if we continue along a pathway of financial irresponsibility, if we continue along a path of envy, greed, and hatred — what happened with Occupy Wall Street will be a cakewalk compared to what will begin to happen in this country.”

http://downtrend.com/jrc410/is-obama-planning-to-declare-martial-law-examining-the-signs

Ever since Obama took over the office of the President, there have been a number of people claiming that he was so interested in power, they could really see him taking steps to ensure that he never had to give it up. Of course, in the past, this kind of talk has been more or less confined to conspiracy theorists and others that mainstream society might consider to be, let’s just say, less than credible.

Since Obama began his second terms, his true colors have really begun to show. He does not love America and is interested only in furthering his own agenda. This agenda will come at the expense of the traditional Christian roots of our nation. Yet, he will seek to protect the law breakers and the Muslims and basically everyone who seeks to destroy and denigrate America.

Now, we have seen the continued militarization of police forces all around the country. Plus, the police forces are engaging in more and more excess and using their newly found might to basically attack a number of the citizens they have supposedly sworn to protect. We have seen examples like the Bundy ranch and how they dealt with citizens during the Boston Marathon bombing aftermath: forced people to remain in their houses, then did house-to-house searches and forced families to stand outside during the searches! They even confiscated guns and items that were legally obtained.

Now we already know that Obama has signed an executive order giving him the right to declare martial law any time he wants. This is a significant sign that he thinks there might be a good reason for him to need that authority. Say what you want, Obama is at least able to realize the signs of the times. He sees that the Republicans are very likely to capture the Senate, which would give them full control over both houses of Congress. This would put Obama in a very dangerous situation.

Once this happens, the question then becomes what do the Republicans do with that advantage? It is certainly possible that impeachment proceedings could be started. If this goes to its end, there is also the possibility that Obama could even be tried as a traitor to the USA. It is certainly obvious that he has no love lost for America and its traditional values and principles.

There are a number of people that have talked about this, even some within the government. Obama, being the prideful man and committed liberal that his, could simply not afford to let such a thing stop his extreme agenda. Personally, I think he feels as if no one else can accomplish or be trusted to push his agenda through and it doesn’t matter how many people oppose him.

Declaring martial law could be a way out for Obama. This could happen either right before the midterm elections happen, or before the newly elected Congress takes office. This would be a great solution to keep him even more firmly in control than he is now. Plus, he would also be able to suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

You may or may not be aware of this, but Obama has actually relieved nearly 200 top military commanders in order to make the military more loyal to him and his extreme vision for America. This includes even some of the top generals and colonels. Obama has even quietly asked members of the military to swear a personal oath of loyalty to him. Plus, he has been arming and equipping the Department of Homeland Security, making them as well trained and armed as the military. This is what he will most likely use if martial law is ever declared. The Constitution denies the military the right to operate on US soil. Not so with the DHS.

If Obama does declare martial law, we will be faced with only two choices. We can buckle under and except Comrade Obama as our new dictator…or we can resist and possibly rise up and declare a second American revolution.

Which do YOU think it will be? Will we see Obama declare martial law? If so, what do you think the circumstances will be? How will America respond to such an event? How would YOU resist?

I can see a situation where we could have a breakdown in society and have marshal law. For example anytime there are bad storms how long does it take for grocery story shelves to go empty? I see what happens in cities with riots. After hurricane Katrina you saw what happens. These are breakdowns in local areas but what about something nationally? I could see an economic disaster that could trigger it. The morals in the country are a whole lot worse than they used to be. How would the country react if we had another great depression? I think you would see looting and rioting on a major national scale. If we were running a 19 trillion dollar surplus I would feel better about the economy but I believe we do have a house of cards waiting to fall. We have been printing money as well which history shows is usually a bad idea.

I have some friends who are preppers and sometimes I think they are the smart people. I even had one of them who was kind enough to offer to put me and my family on his list he would take care of (he has a warehouse of supplies hidden). I told him as a Christian I would have a hard time with my conscience being holed up surviving while others including my wife's family who would be suffering. This person told me he went a few days in the jungle in Viet Nam without water and he vowed that would never happen to him again and if I had experienced that I would feel different. I am sure he is right but I still have a hard time thinking about living a life of just surviving which doesn't seem like any kind of life.

it isn't a matter of "cusp", though. it's a CHANCE that Obamao would do it/try it.

He is of the same kind of arrogant, corrupt socialist bent of other dicktaters around

the world who have done it.

He signed/renewed/made a lot stronger... a new law that gives him the power to do it,

has members of Congress WANTING him to do it....

of course there is a chance he would declare martial law without just cause. Not with any other pres in the last

several decades... this is the first time an American president has been so far left, so corrupt, and so arrogantly

antagonistic to so many Americans who aren't black, and aren't real poor, and are religious and/or have guns and/or

are very conservative.

Dr. Carson is correct, absolutely - there is a chance Obamao would actually do it/try it.

Why else would Obamao open the door to disaster, and demand that big serious illegal trouble

come through it? and our debt? and hundreds of thousands of Muslim immigrants from terrorized

countries? and taking the side, automatically, of any black in any confrontation with the law?

Yep. That is the question. WHY?..(outside of wanting to use a set of major crisises of his own making...)

of course not, I don't think he will actually do it - he won't get away with it at all in the long run...anyways.

but there is a CHANCE. Not a prediction. You like to smart off, but answer my question... "Why?"

so is there a 1 in 4 "chance" he declares martial law? The word chance is a generic descriptor for probability Cal. A probability just has more math behind it. But whatever let's not interrupt this game, what's the chance? And if he ends up not declaring martial law will you agree to something? I may have been hasty in my original offering....I don't want you to leave. However, if he doesn't declare martial law will agree to abstain from ANY post creation whatsoever for a period of 6 months? you can respond and retort to your liking, but ZERO post creation.

See also: Suspension clause

The martial law concept in the United States is closely tied with the right of habeas corpus, which is in essence the right to a hearing on lawful imprisonment, or more broadly, the supervision of law enforcement by the judiciary. The ability to suspend habeas corpus is often equated with martial law.[citation needed] Article 1, Section 9 of the US Constitution states, "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it."
In United States law, martial law is limited by several court decisions that were handed down between the American Civil War and World War II. In 1878, Congress passed the Posse Comitatus Act, which forbids military involvement in domestic law enforcement without congressional approval.
History[edit]

Throughout United States history are several examples of the imposition of martial law, aside from that during the Civil War.
There have been many instances of the use of the military within the borders of the United States, such as during the Whiskey Rebellion and in the South during the civil rights crises, but these acts are not tantamount to a declaration of martial law. The distinction must be made as clear as that between martial law and military justice: deployment of troops does not necessarily mean that the civil courts cannot function, and that is one of the keys, as the Supreme Court noted, to martial law.
The American Revolution[edit]
As a result of the Boston Tea Party, Parliament passed the Massachusetts Government Act, one of the Intolerable Acts, which suppressed town meetings and assemblies, and imposed appointed government, tantamount to martial law.[23][24][25]
New Orleans, Louisiana in the War of 1812[edit]
During the War of 1812, US General Andrew Jackson imposed martial law in New Orleans, Louisiana before repulsing the British in the Battle of New Orleans.[26][27][28] Martial law was also imposed in a four-mile radius around the vicinity. When word came of the end of the war, Jackson maintained martial law, contending that he had not gotten official word of the peace. A judge demanded habeas corpus for a man arrested for sedition. Rather than comply with the writ, Jackson had the judge arrested.
Ex parte Milligan[edit]
On September 15, 1863 President Lincoln imposed Congressionally authorized martial law.[29] The authorizing act allowed the President to suspend habeas corpus throughout the entire United States (which he had already done under his own authority on April 27, 1861). Lincoln imposed the suspension on "prisoners of war, spies, or aiders and abettors of the enemy," as well as on other classes of people, such as draft dodgers. The President's proclamation was challenged in Ex parte Milligan, 71 US 2 [1866]. The Supreme Court ruled that Lincoln's imposition of martial law (by way of suspension of habeas corpus) was unconstitutional in areas where the local courts were still in session.
The Great Chicago Fire[edit]
In response to the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, Chicago mayor Roswell B. Mason declared a state of martial law and placed General Philip Sheridan in charge of the city on October 9, 1871. After the fire was extinguished, there were no widespread disturbances and martial law was lifted within a few days.[30]
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, 1892[edit]
In 1892, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, striking mine workers blew up a mill and shot at strike-breaking workers. The explosion leveled a four-story building and killed one person. The governor declared martial law. At the same time, a request was made for federal troops to back guardsmen. Over 600 people were arrested. The list was whittled down to two dozen ringleaders who were tried in military court. While in prison, the mine workers formed a new union, the Western Federation of Miners.
San Francisco earthquake of 1906[edit]
Following the earthquake of 1906, the troops stationed in the Presidio were pressed into martial law service. Guards were posted throughout the city, and all dynamite was confiscated. The dynamite was used to destroy buildings in the path of fires, to prevent the fires from spreading.
Colorado Coalfield War[edit]
In 1914, imposition of martial law climaxed the so-called Colorado Coalfield War. Dating back decades, the conflicts came to a head in Ludlow, Colorado in 1913. The Colorado National Guard was called in to quell the strikers. For a time, the peace was kept, but it is reported that the make-up of the Guard stationed at the mines began to shift from impartial normal troops to companies of loyal mine guards. Clashes increased and the proclamation of martial law was made by the governor, eventually resulting in the Ludlow Massacre. President Wilson sent in federal troops, eventually ending the violence.
West Virginia Coal Wars[edit]
During the events of the West Virginia Coal Wars (1920-1921), martial law was declared on the state of West Virginia. At the behest of Governor Cornwell, federal troops had been dispatched to Mingo County to deal with the striking miners. The army officer in charge acted, ostensibly, under the Suspension Clause of Article I of the United States Constitution (selectively; accounts show that he only jailed union miners), and did not allow assembly of any kind. If his soldiers found any union miners, they immediately took them and imprisoned them. The jails filled up so quickly that he had to release miners. As it went, miners were arrested, jailed, and released without any sort of trial. After a time, when the trial of Sid Hatfield began; the military occupation and "veritable military dictatorship" (Governor Cornwell) of the army officer ended. Many of the miners were not released from jail. It was only the first of three times that federal troops would be called to quiet the miners in the West Virginia Mine War.[citation needed]
Tulsa Race Riot[edit]
In 1921, during the Tulsa race riot, the Oklahoma National Guard declared martial law. This event was caused by KKK members who held government state and local office who together conspired to wipe out Black Wall Street. It was in effect a bombing of Americans by Americans. The phone lines where cut so that no one could call for help. Many of the people who fled the city seeking help where shot or lynched.
San Francisco, California, 1934[edit]
In 1934, California Governor Frank Merriam placed the docks of San Francisco under martial law, citing "riots and tumult" resulting from a dock worker's strike. The Governor threatened to place the entire city under martial law. The National Guard was called in to open the docks, and a city-wide institution of martial law was averted when goods began to flow. The guardsmen were empowered to make arrests and to then try detainees or turn them over to the courts.
The Territory of Hawaii[edit]
During World War II (1939 to 1945) what is now the State of Hawaii was held under martial law from December 7, 1941 to October 24, 1944, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.[31] Many Hawaiians were, and are, of Japanese descent, and the loyalty of these people was called into question[citation needed]. After the war, the federal judge for the islands condemned the conduct of martial law, saying, "Gov. Poindexter declared lawfully martial law but the Army went beyond the governor and set up that which was lawful only in conquered enemy territory namely, military government which is not bound by the Constitution. And they ... threw the Constitution into the discard and set up a military dictatorship."[this quote needs a citation]
Freedom Riders[edit]
On May 21, 1961, Governor Patterson of Alabama declared martial law "as a result of outside agitators coming into Alabama to violate our laws and customs" which has led to "outbreaks of lawlessness and mob action."

Therefore, the goofy joking is hereby rendered nonsense.

There is NO HISTORICAL PRECEDENT, nor is there a LEGAL AVENUE

for an alien invasion, or being hit by a meteor.

okay, for the dumb guy wanting a date with a pretty gal who would NEVER go out with him....

that at least fits.

But the ramifications of happening are seriously dire with the martial law jobbie, not very much

with the date.

how am I slanting the bet? There's no video game here what are you talking about? You're posting this long rambling assertion that there's a good chance Obama will impose martial law before the 2016 gen elections. So I threw the red flag now pick it up. So I say if you lose you can't start a thread for 6 months, if I lose the same......no hell i'll do one better, I won't post "at all" for 3 months. Deal?

besides, you wouldn't "pay up" - you just are that way.

But, it IS a chance. Not betworthy, unless you are stoned, which,

would explain a lot of your posts....
