Mark O
Here are famous people who have come from Bakersfield, California: Rick and Casey Mears....Indy racing royalty family. Won several Indy 500 races. Rick Mears is the only one that should be considered famous. One of only 3 men to win the Indy 500 four times. Casey is his brother Roger's kid, but neither Roger or Casey have anywhere near the resume of Rick Mears.

Also, Brent McClanahan, running back for the Vikes, who now teaches at South Bakersfield High.

I don't know, I don't follow racing, but I certainly have heard his name on like Sportscenter.

More likely it would be winter. What's it like then? It was fall when I was there the one time.

It gets to what we consider cold. I like it. Its crazy because Bakersfield will be 60 70 or even 80 and then 30 minutes away you have Tehachapi and itll be snowing there. Haha.
