Browns149
What does "law-abiding" actually mean"? Does that mean no criminal record at all? Does it mean no traffic tickets ever? And it also says there are about 12 other states with this type of law. Does anyone, here, know what those states are? http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/mar/24/gov-burgum-signs-concealed-carry-bill-into-law/
Clevfan4life
Horrible idea to allow unliscensed concealed firearms.
Clevfan4life
Even gun people have to take a step back and go ok wait a sec this has potential to blow up and actually hurt the gun rights movement.

calfoxwc
the left has created the pro-gun laws with their political jammering and wanting to control and make money off stuff they don't do...like owning guns etc. Personally, I think you need a license to stop those who should not have ccw ... gang members, felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, illegals...etc etc etc. The trouble is, there are lefties who declare war on gun ownership regardless..tax, fine, license our RIGHT to the death of our RIGHT. I think background checks are fine. Maybe background checks should be required tor buying a car or a home. Or a knife or a rope. Or a lighter...or gasoline... calfoxwc
Completely support gun ownership and strict gun laws. I don't know why, other than just to argue, the two are mutually exclusive. because the left makes it that way. Nothing wrong, imho, about background checks. We bought our pistol, and the dealer was surprised how quickly mine came back approved. I suppose it's because I was in the AF...etc etc. Can't own machine guns, I don't care. But the left never stops... everything they can possibly stupidly think of... they want to pass a law where they can ban it, control it, license/fee/fine it, etc. The problem with gun control, is that criminals don't obey gun control laws. Like "gun free zones". etc.
Browns149
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_carry Looking at the map. It sure looks like this country isn't afraid of guns By the way. I'm all for the Second Amendment, but to have no or very little "TRAINING" about firearms, doesn't seem very safe

There are several other constitutional carry states (WV included). Anarchy did not break out. It dug into my bottom line but blood has not been running in the streets. The Cysko Kid
Horrible idea to allow unliscensed concealed firearms. What's the difference between that and open carry that Ohio already has? Clevfan4life
What's the difference between that and open carry that Ohio already has? I can walk around carrying all day no license required well for one I don't know how much in favor of open carry I am. My concern about no permit carry, including open carry, is that any asshole can walk around strapped who might have zero clue how to safely use that weapon in a combat situation. The analogy with cars is different because we're forced to attend classes and get certified when we're young and then everybody drives almost every day of their lives. It's second nature to drive. It isn't second nature to pull ur gun and properly aim it when your heart rate is doing 200+. I am ALL for citizens carrying guns, but open or concealed....you really should have to prove you have some idea of what you're doing. I don't think that's a terribly unreasonable position. Back to cars I actually don't think it would be a terrible idea if people were required every 5-10 years not just prove they can still drive, but actually be taught almost racing techniques and periodically qualify for them. Requisite would be a drop in insurance rates for those that do well. Being able to show you at least know what to do when your car starts sliding.....I don't think that's a bad idea. I think people who get ccw's or any open carry for that matter, ought to "at least" have to go infront of those screens that police do and train for situations where they have to pull their weapon and pick out the bad guy in a crowd of good guys. I mean that's realistic. You might not have to be quite as proficient at it as LE, but show something.....
Clevfan4life
but to have no or very little "TRAINING" about firearms, doesn't seem very safe that's exactly how i feel. I currently have a 9mm and technically if i wanted to i could go get a holster and stroll around with it right now but the thought of that has never even crossed my mind. For one you look like an asshat, second....im not even going to tempt fate. I'm a decent shot now at the range and im confident i can probably pass a ccw test, but honestly i want more. I want to sign up for serious tactical courses. Same goes for the long rifle. I just have zero interest in being a fuckhat despite being constitutionally covered if i so chose. I've had months of training and years of experience, and some fuck like him thinks he is a covert operator. And u whiff again. Honestly this is exactly why i havent respected you just about from day 1 that ive been here, you completely misinterpret everything. Your tenous grasp of reality is indeed alarming. Ive spent two pages explaining that i feel basically the opposite of what u just claimed. I really dont know what ur reading but whatever. Furthermore, if ur family was on a train without u and some machete weilding ngr got up im exactly the kind of cunt u want with a ccw because im the kind of cunt that thinks simulating a real situation as much as possible prior to being in said situation is a good idea. U wont have some nub pulling the trigger as fast as possible with ur family members potentially nearby fixin to catch one. I fully understand 10 hours of ccw training does not even remotely make one a "covert operator" which is why i said im also looking to take tactical classes well beyond simple ccw training. I really dont know how better to explain myself so if u still dont get it thats on you. Put me back on ignore then

calfoxwc
U really cook groundhog cal? yep. haven't done it for a long time til last year. Back when I was a kid, we went out and got a few younger groundhogs, and fried them up. Had our relatives come down to the farm that same weekend, and it was a dish on our big dinner. Everybody knew it was groundhog - they actually liked it.... and my cousin Bobby said it was the best chicken he ever ate. Well, I didn't tell him it was groundhog... until after he said that. He went from "best chicken I ever ate" to puking in the bathroom. HAHAHHA. except I got in trouble, and got grounded for the rest of the week. But the look changing on his face was priceless... I'm into wild foods, for the fun of it. Herbal remedies... cattail roots/stems/green bloom top... morel mushrooms, wild grapes (better know how to distinguis between the fake wild "grapes" that are poisonous...different teas...dandelions... Wild chickory (coffee), burdock,.. and that plant leaf that cured a really bad allergic reaction to black fly bites in Canada that one year... I'm narrowing it down to which plant it is... stopped the itching immediately and 95% of the rash was gone by morning... edible flowers, etc. I just think it's fascinating. Pine needle tea, uses for melted pine sap... maple syrup/and water... wild blackberries, etc, mulberries off the tree outback, old apple trees... still haven't tried rattlesnake yet. I love the outdoors, living off the land kind of thing. Can only take so much of us being indoors most of the winter. Back in the early days, we hunted pheasant - now THAT is some excellent dinner. Want to try wild turkey.... maybe wild boar....
