Well we BROWNS fans have been kicking around this draft stuff since the last CLE vs pit game, four long months we need something else to do until it's April 26....this is worse than waiting for Christmas when you're 6 years old, I know make a to do list!

  x    do taxes, done.

x    make a quarterback list, done to death

        do another mock draft? :o

watch the INDIANS  play in Puerto Rico starting Tuesday, *4/17/18 and Wednesday  4/18/18, now that will be neat!  :D

get ready for the Kentucky Derby 5/5/18, hey that's Cinco de Mayo too, woo-hoo

I know get ready for summer, now there's  something to look forward too in NE OHIO!

Any other ideas? Please?

*edit, the INDIANS are off Monday and play Tuesday (FS1) Wednesday (STO/ESPN) in Puerto Rico.

Shoot the bull on this board....

Also....how do you "get ready" for the Kentucky Derby?  Unless you are going there, there is not much to do to get ready for it.....except, gather up your money.  My wife and I on a couple of occasions have made a day of it by going to Northfield or Thistledown where we flutter a bit on the race, plus on the other races on the card.  And also at both locations  we have a bit of a duel with the one armed bandits at the attached casinos.   But there is nothing special to do to get ready.

Eat Cheetos and watch porn

Or, you could take a quick trip to Vegas to drink, gamble and fornicate.

Or you can stay home and rake up the dead leaves left over from winter.

Or sit on your couch and binge watch whatever on Roku.

Or spend time planning your next vacation...that is not Vegas.

Or go to your work and do your job.

Your prep takes more that one week?

Heading to the post Office in an hour or so to drop off taxes.

Buy mint julep mix and 12 packs of Corona? Maybe some enchiladas, bourbon meatballs and derby pie?

Yes two American traditions all rolled into one! :wacko:

What, you're still so old school no Turbo tax or one of the other tax programs? You'd have to enjoy the torture of messing around with Schedule D. Click send, done. Return accepted by IRS in less than 24 hours. :)

I do that, too.

It's complicated...

Well if any of you chose watch the INDIANS in Puerto Rico up 5-0 top 7 with Kluber.  Lindor scored first runs 2R HR and the place went wild.

Work the rest of this week

Saturday - Attend the FA cup semi final at Wembley with free food and booze all day in an executive box

If we win then my body (liver) will probably have recovered only just in time for the draft on the 26th.

Mow the entire yard next week including the "Outback" beyond the back fencing. Drink a bottle of Napa Cabernet or a decent Bordeaux one glass at a time between now and draft day. Have my Diplomatico rum ready for a toast on draft night, especially if we finish off the 1st with a move up for Sony Michel. My darkhorse pick from a few months ago has risen now into the first 25 on more than a few mocks.

Convince PoG to take me up on my $100 Barkley bet.

These online monetary discussions rarely work out, something about having the actual greenbacks on the table or in someone's wallet ready to slap down on a bet.

Dutch, remember over the years how hard it was to get people to ante up $5 or $10 for a football pick 'em? And we'd have 20, 30 or more in some of our contests. The dependable ones were right in and the deadheads would always say that the check's in the mail.

But PoG doesn't seem like a deadhead maybe there's time for your sucker bet  fair proposition yet. (Did that help? )

From wiki:

Timing

Each team has its representatives attend the draft. During the draft, one team is always "on the clock." In Round 1, teams have 10 minutes to make their choice (previously 15). The decision time drops to 7 minutes (previously 10) in the second round and 5 minutes in Rounds 3–6. In round 7, and for compensatory picks, teams only have 4 minutes to make their choice.

  • A player must be out of high school for at least three years to be eligible for the draft.
  • If a player enters the draft but does not sign a contract, that player can be drafted again the following year.
  • If a player does not declare for the draft, but is deemed academically ineligble later on, there is a supplemental draft in the summer that occurs. Teams submit a bid for the round in which they would like to take one of the players, and if their bid is the highest, they will get that player, and lose the subsequent pick the following year.
  • For the first round, the team picking gets 10 minutes to submit a player\'s name to be drafted.
  • 7 minutes in Round 2, and 5 minutes in Rounds 3-7.
  • If the time expires before the pick is submitted, the next team can begin to submit their pick, but the team who\'s time expired can still submit their pick at any point
  • Any team\'s draft picks can be traded at any time
  • The first round is on Thursday, with Rounds 2 and 3 on the Friday, and Rounds 3-7 on Saturday

The crowd sound.... kind of a collective "WHOOO"... when it was clear the ball had cleared the fence was unlike any crowd noise I'd heard before. It was really cool.

While I admire your self control nonetheless that must be the world's smallest wine glass...
