WSS For close in I'm just as good with a pistol as I am with a rifle. I'd rather not have a neighbor put a lawsuit on me for a round that carried thru my house and then through theirs to hit some innocent neighbor. That is more likely with a rifle than a pistol. Growing up we were allowed to shoot handguns as long as the targets were set up towards the mile clearance to the next home over on the N of my grandparents 70 acre place, but we were not allowed to shoot rifles there because of how far it can carry and still do damage even on a ricochet. For that we had to learn on a rifle range. Shotguns we could use anywhere on the 70 acres. BB and pellet guns we we warned to not shoot towards the house on the property or we'd pay for any window we hit (never happened). Id like to see them make close range hone def ammo for AR's thst deliver alot of energy but less penetration. So it'll blast a hole in something but thats it. I think there have been pictures posted of them but there are plenty of legal rifles that hold as many rounds and fire the same ammunition but they don't look so scary. I wouldn't care about Hogg's personal opinions except he is out to try and force his ideas on gun control on the rest of us. I wouldn't ignore anyone out to take away gun rights for law abiding citizens. They should be confronted especially if they don't know what they are talking about. People are so politically split now that correcting him really doesn’t change any opinions and his politicking doesn’t change any opinions. Parts of facts anymore are just around to feed into confirmation bias. So if you are pro 2A, you won’t have your mind changed and vice versa. The bulk of kids don’t go outside to play and live in places where guns aren’t prevalent thus are going to have limited exposure to guns.
