The death knell for gun ownership will be video games and urban living. The bulk of kids don’t go outside to play and live in places where guns aren’t prevalent thus are going to have limited exposure to guns. If they aren’t invested then they won’t give a crap if they go away.

Which to me shows the need for education for the second amendment and gun rights. Today within minutes of a tragic shooting (and not even knowing all the facts) the gun control advocates go to work pushing gun control legislation that will not work but using the left's strategy of "never letting a crisis go to waste".

Education will not matter if kids have no exposure. Kids are getting less and less rural coupled with having no interest with getting outside. They won’t be invested as adults.

We are seeing this also in lower numbers turning out for little league sports. Parents are using electronics as a baby sitter.

I agree with you about too many parents today using video games as a babysitter and not getting their children active in sports but still think the only way we can keep gun rights will be to educate the public. The NRA tries to do that which is one of the reasons the left demonizes the NRA so much. Much of the gun control legislation the left wants to implement is just feel good legislation that only affects the gun rights of law abiding citizens but will do nothing else.

right. abd when they do get exposed they look at firearms as a sense of undue "power". They have no proper conception of what firearms are and are not because of said video games and the fact our culture, conservatives are equally as guilty, glorify guns.

Yes everybody glorifies guns. Guns are fun violent movies are fun why when TV shows are fun. For Christ's sake boys... good luck outlawing video games. Should be about as easy that's closing down file sharing websites. When there are enough lefties to vote it in we will have gun control. When it doesn't work the next generation of lefties will insist on stronger gun control until they reach the Nirvana which is outright ban.

I expect some kind of silly age limit for violent video games. The same twenty-one-year-old that buys the Bud Light for the kid will buy Grand Theft Auto.
