Jesus Shmucking Christ.

Josh Gordon came up with a fake hamstring injury to get out of playing for the Browns, after years upon years of sabotaging his career.

I seriously wonder about some of you. Absolutely delusional.

JG has been on limited practice with that hammy ever since with NE and just for the record, even Brady could not get him to catch long passes thrown his way last night. He wasted the best years of his playing career and is fast approaching "has been" status with BB. Passes he used to just take away from people were getting knocked away or stripped through his fumbling hands if you watched the game last night.

That's what pissed me off the most..... times where Toad could establish our identity as a tough butt team, he goes all cute. He asks the rookie QB to do the stuff a 10yr all pro vet does. Head scratching to say the least.

Examples? I honestly do not know what you are referring to here...

They double covered Landry a LOT, because they didn't have to worry about HIggins.

I think the problem long term is that Landry IS the WR2, and what the Browns need is WR1.

And before any delusional posters say it, no, Gordon was NEVER going to be that guy for the Browns.

Gordon was that guy... will he be it again? If he will be, then he has not shown it as yet. And, yes, Phoolie, I watched the SNF game.

As for Landry... he's a WR 1.5 at best. He's a great possession guy, and I am glad he is on the team, but he, and we, missd Higgins yesterday... badly.

If Landry was a baseball player, he'd be Mark Grace.

A solid defensive player who hits .300 with no power.

5 catches for 42 yards.   Those are "game changing" numbers.   Fuck Josh Gordon.  He ain't that great anymore.

getting RID of gordon was addition by subtraction. He just kept having excuses for just about anything he didn't feel like doing.

meetings, games, training camp... AND he dropped passes.

Calloway drops passes, whatever. Calloway is THERE to go all out and play football. He's a very talented kid, and if he starts catching every ball thrown to him, watch out.

Mebbe, they should forget about catching a bunch of passes from a machine, unless they have somebody running up on them to

pop them one as they are catching it. I figure looking away from the pass, to see where you want to go next, or look at where the guy is coming from ..that is going to let you have it...is the problem. They just have to learn the discipline of looking the ball into their hands, and THEN going for yacs.

gordon never had the love for the game, enough was enough, good that he's gone. He won't play games with another team, he can't take the chance. He knew he could take chances with the Browns for years? Outa here, you're fired.

1st and goal at the 3ish and instead of hammering the defense into submission with 3 or even 4 straight punches to the mouth, we throw on 1st, then again on 2nd asking the rook to make a play.

3rd and 4 yesterday and instead of running the ball to setup a worst case 4th and 1... especially since Huey knew he would go for it on 4th, we ask the rook to make a play.

Many more T, those are just of the top of my head......

question? Kizer was asked to do the same.. Did we see the same with Cody Kessler?

A good coach doesn't force development.... that will naturally come with time vs reps. Good coaches put their team in the best positions to win, and great ones do it without anyone noticing.

Again loudmouth:

We will go back to 2005. This is THE top "playmaker" drafted where the Browns picked/would have picked, and just to keep you honest as the Browns "cant draft well, I will even include the next if the Browns took one. 13 years is a LONG career

2005- Braylon Edwards/Cedric Benson

2006- Laurence Maroney

2007- Adrian Peterson (1)

2008- No 1st rounder

2009- Percy Harvin

2010- CJ Spiller

2011- Julio Jones (2)

2012- Trent Richardson/ Justin Blackmon

2013- Tavon Austin

2014- Sammy Watkins

2015- Devante Parker

2016- Paxton Lynch (who YOU wanted when the Browns had the 2nd pick over Wentz) or Will Fuller

2017- Mitchell Trubisky

2018- Saquon Barkley (3)

Now your fat, whiny butt will say something like you would have picked the right person, blah blah blah, but YOUR argument is that the Browns FO is so dumb that they wont take the top playmakers available in the draft. So THESE players ARE the top playmakers available at the Browns pick.

Then of course there would be ABSOLUTELY NO DEFENSIVE TOP TALENT, and you would fill out the roster with undrafted dime a dozen OL.

And had you had your way, the Browns would have Barkley, Lamar Jackson (as no matter how much you try and deflect or deny, he was YOUR 1st choice as top player in draft) and Calvin Ridley. And have no draft picks the next 2 years.

So please just STFU about knowing ANYTHING.

Garrett team is 2-3-1 and the BEST PLAYER EVER by a HUGE margin, Saquon Barkley is 1-5.

I already know your response, because you THINK you know it all. Well he (Saquon) doesn't have a QB. Guess what loud mouth (or large mouth, or dumbass) that is correct, Eli is done. You CAN'T win in today's NFL without a QB, no matter what little toy you have. That is why the Browns took a QB, like you complained about not doing for years, then they do and you still complain, and what the Giants SHOULD have done. But hey, they have a running game, which has resulted in 1 win.

You know NOTHING about football. What you have shown a competent knack for is being a good gambler/predictor.

The only reason you rag in Myles and Joe is because you wish you had 1% of them. Their skills, dedication, money, looks, fame, etc.

But hey, I got some GREAT news for you Foolio, you do indeed beat them in something. Just step on a scale and your number will be higher than theirs

Whiny butt is going to be on a short leash when he comes back. In fact, he's going to get a PM from the Mod crew telling him to stop wasting his time posting BS trolling just to get a response. It will be gone the second it's seen.  Ditto anything that looks like a profane comment written by a drunk sailor on shore leave. The vote was about 3:1 that the Board wanted him gone, and he's ignored it.

There's other great & respected posters that have thought about leaving- solely because they can't stand his crap. I'm not going to let that happen, and if he thinks he can use this board as his private toilet to take a dump on whenever he chooses, were not going to let that happen anymore. As I'm sure all are aware, the only reason he's not permanently banned (as he is on every other Browns forum I know about) is because he begged the Board owner to let him back on- and I really wish he hadn't.  This Forum will get along just fine without his pollution.

Spent another morning deleting all of his nonsense from that night and I'm sure you guys did the same.  I knew from the tavern (even without blowhard) that it was going to be a shitshow around here yesterday afternoon.

More prolific than Grace, he is Tony Gwynn.

Problem is, he is setting the table for Mario Mendoza right now ... we need a home run hitter.

I actually thought of Gwynn, but gun to my head I don't see Landry going to the HOF like Gwynn did.

You are absolutely right though, he needs help.

y'all need to be careful with the Tony Gwynn references.  He's a revered figure in my house.

yea flash is not the answer and never was gonna be, its just unfortunate that the browns have no receivers, and theyve not had good receivers for the last 3 years, and when they finally have a solid qb, they have no WR depth to help him out

The WR unit went from thin to barely able to field a 4 WR set almost overnight.

I'm sure WR is going to be a huge priority this offseason in free agency and the draft, but it's going to be a crapshoot the rest of the way, unfortunately.

True. Hopefully that will mean in an increase of the run plays and getting players like Duke and Njoku more involved.

Also, not having to rely heavily on our pass offense should take some weight off our rookie's shoulders. If he's making more than 30 attempts a game, INTs are expected.
