Thoughtcrime at the Oscars

it's a matter of power and control.  that corruption seeps into every single aspect of American life now. It's an example of deliberate

and belligerent foolishness - to manipulate people to join in support of their leftist desires. The left feigns "victimization" at every turn, every word/action possible.

"What the letters and diaries reveal is the qualified, not always easy, but nonetheless unmistakable desire to be part of the National Socialist movement. We see people as actors, not as victims; we see them deliberating, rather than being seduced. This collection offers extraordinary insights into why Germans became Nazis, and how a Nazi mother in Germany came to disagree with her beloved anti-Nazi daughter in Holland.

In the end, the letters indicate just how self-absorbed Germans were by their sense of having been victimized, which means that the question of World War I remains relevant to World War II, even if the Nazi leaders themselves wanted something far more than a victory in a rerun of World War I."

Hosting the Oscars is rreprestation...  If they don't like what they saw then it's within their right to change hosts.

Much ado about nothing.   Moving on.

Oh, Don't forget these are the same liberals and Hollywood elite most of you claim we should ignore.   So let's do just that,  shall we?

This is not an isolated incident but has become way too common today and to me it seems Orwellian. In his case he made some tweets a few years ago he apologized for and said he is not the same person today he was then. Why shouldn't that be enough?

The title of the thread is "thought crime at the oscars" and even if this guy had not made his public tweets I think we have gotten to the point today where a person cannot even hold a biblical position that homosexuality is wrong without facing consequences and repercussions.

I see it already in the military where a chaplain better toe the PC line and forget what the bible says about homosexuality or face consequences. I see it on national prayer day where the left will complain if a minister holds the bible position that homosexuality is a sin believing that alone should disqualify them:

Greg Laurie to Gay Activists: 'I Won't Back Down'

"They do not want me to pray. They describe me as 'homophobic' and so forth. How can you deal with such a situation? We're in a time in our country now where I'm attacked because I believe what the Bible teaches," said Laurie, ahead of Thursday's National Day of Prayer.

"If people want to make it all about that I'm not going to back down. In the immortal words of the great theologian Tom Petty, 'I won't back down,' I won't. I'm not going to apologize."

Laurie paralleled the efforts of gay rights activists to that of the palace officials who sought to stop Daniel (in the Old Testament) from praying and passed a law that resulted in him being thrown into the Lion's Den.

In recent days, LGBT organizations like the Human Rights Campaign have demanded that government officials bar Laurie from leading National Day of Prayer events in the nation's capital this week.

This is not the first time gay activists have attempted to get clergy opposed to homosexuality removed from a major national event. In January, LGBT activists successfully got the Rev. Louie Giglio of Passion City Church in Roswell, Ga., to withdraw from saying the closing prayer at President Barack Obama's second inauguration.

Rev. Graham to Trump: Please Help Army Chaplain Being Persecuted by LGBT Enforcers

Evangelical Christian Rev. Franklin Graham called upon President Donald Trump "to do something about" an Army chaplain, who is a Baptist, and who faces "serious punishment" because he refused to allow a lesbian couple to participate in one of his marriage retreats.

"Mr. President, I hope you will be able to do something about this," said Rev. Graham in an April 18 post on Facebook.  "You are the commander in chief of the U.S. Armed Forces."

"Army Chaplain Scott Squires is being punished for doing his job," said Graham.  "He’s facing serious punishment for explaining to a soldier that he couldn’t conduct a marriage retreat that would include same-sex couples--because of his belief in the biblical definition of marriage."

"A military investigation determined that he should be disciplined for not including this lesbian couple in his retreat," said the reverend.

When Chaplain Squires realized that a same-sex couple wanted to participate in his marriage retreat, he explained they could not but he also sought to arrange a retreat for the couple with a chaplain who would allow their participation. However, this apparently was not acceptable to the lesbians and the pro-LGBT enforcers in the Army.

Actually Cleve if someone said that about a son and a bible etc...and sincerely apologized and said they were not the same person who originally said the comments I would forgive them, let it go and go on....that is what Kevin Hart said about his comments.  He apologized and said he was a different person today. I would think the gay community would respect that instead of always wanting to extract a pound of flesh for any offense against them..

He withdrew on his own, he wasnt firced out. But he knew that all the queers that revere the oscars, and even moreso the tonys......his presence there would be "a thing". So he bowed out, good for him. I still like him, but my respect lowered. I was infuriated that adrian peterson lost a year of his professioal life for disciplining his kid over some real shit. But talking about beating the shit out of ur kid for playing with dolls.....i mean srsly, he was so bemused and comfortable he said it publically

Im not saying he isnt funny, but i can understand the other side on this one. Theres alot of men and women out there who were "legitimately" physically assaulted by family members as children and later as adults, because they were being who they were....so i can understand a mans jokes about smashing a dollhouse over his kids head being taken wrong.

I havent seen any omfg kevin hart needs to be strung up kind of rage, u know, like when kathy griffin did her trump head thing. Or when michelle wolf talked about sarah sanders eyeliner....that was apoarently offensive as anything ever said in written human history. But those same people have no problem with joles about beating the shit out of ur son for perceived gayness.

For as much of an asshole as you are here on this board I'm always surprised by your low threshold of outrage.
