It's a short week so this will be a short report. Everyone should be a) preoccupied with election news, and B) bracing for the Brady Quinn debut. A reminder for all of you Fantasy Football geeks: Set your lineups before tomorrow's game!

Beanpot's League ONE: The key matchup this week had DTBH facing Greenville Mayhem for a share of the lead. Mayhem suffered the loss of QB Matt Shaub (-2) to an injury before he could rebound from an early pick. DTBH was able to grab the 'W,' 81-77. Mayhem responded good-naturedly, "We hate losing but we especially hate losing under these circumstances. Unlike NFL football, we aren't able to replace an injured player during the game and it cost us. We look forward to meeting DTBH again in the playoffs when our team is healthy." DTBH now shares the league lead with Beanpot and faces a relatively easy stretch of games against opponents with losing records.

Beanpot's League TWO: The standings tightened up after the top two teams suffered losses. The Usual Suspects dropped one to the Rookies 72-102 and Beanpot's team played a leisurely game, losing to the Traveling Pants 44-55. The Pants, who had two players scoring zero points, remain hopeful that they can still qualify for a playoff slot. In a week of low scores, the Rookies' 102 points won them the Viagra trophy and a box of virtual blue tablets.

Lambdo's Air Show and another beer please remained knotted at 66 after the final game of the week ended. Alge Crumpler and Edgerrin James scored zero for another beer please and cost the team a victory.

Tom Flugel's League THREE: The big news of the week is Flugelmania's loss to Calfox KosarDawgs 95-75. This is the first win for Cal, making the KosarDawgs the last team in all of the leagues to register a win. Antonio Bryant (21), Owen Daniels(19), and Adrian Peterson (15) helped bring home the bacon for the Dawgs. Flugelmania blamed poor performances from the waterboys for the loss. A stunned Calfox was left agape and without comment.

ChooChoo's stand alone at the top of League THREE after winning their seventh in a row, topping the Cleveland Steamers 100-85. The Devil Dawgs extended their winning streak to 5, defeating Believeland, 68-63. Cleveland's Braylon Edwards scored 15 fantasy points for Believeland but his dropped passes could have cost the team its fourth game in a row.

League FOUR: Parity has certainly been established in Heidi's league. Team DangeRuss defeated Season Ending Injury 81-62 to hold onto the top spot in the league with a 6-3-0 record. The bottom two teams hold 3-6-0 records with everyone else in between at 5-4-0 and 4-5-0.

Blitzburgh and Illegal Procedure duked it out in the squeaker of the week. Derrick Mason (24) and Adrian Peterson (15) won Blitzburgh their fourth in a row, 79-78.

Dirty hands also kept a streak alive by winning their third consecutive game, defeating DaManBeagles 55-36. In a move that was unexpected after a win, the GM of dirty hands shocked the media at the post game presser when he announced a QB change. "Me and Brady (Quinn) are coming for first now!" dirty hands asserted, punching the air with a fist.

League FIVE: We no longer care.

Here's to BQ. May he give Browns fans hope. Taking a cue from the President-elect's transition team, it's important that we now manage expectations.

My DevilDawgs have grabbed a share of 2nd place after a 5 game winning streak. I'd also like to point out my charges are doing more with less as the four teams beneath us in the standings have outscored the DevilDawgs.

This week's matchup with the league leading Choo Choo's will seperate the wheat from the chaff. We're going to need better production from our charges and it won't help that our top scorer (T.J. Who'syomama) is enjoying his bye week.

As the DDawgs coach, I vow we'll be ready for the challenge.

Good stuff, as always.

In fairness to me, McGahee and Witten both suited up but failed to play (I think Witten played a bit but failed to register a catch).

I always tell my team that defense wins championships, and with my roster, that's some advice to take to the bank. icon_e_smile.gif

LOL! That's awesome Kathy!

I got my waterboys running gassers as we speak. We don't need to half step with Gatorade - we need to go turbo-fuel with Jolt Cola!

Time to play a little hard ball this week. My team got soft and turned into General Hospital (Witten, Bush and Parker). One more loss and I'm calling my squids "Junior Varsity." Every year I played Zombo I used to tell him I'm playing my JVs against you just to watch him crumble under pressure. He was a rip snortin riot - I miss that knucklehead.

Meanwhile, Brady Quinn got me 16 pts on his first start !

I'm glad I didn't pick up their defense... that was awful.

I wonder if the DC is changing so many things week to week that

he has confused all of his lb's and db's.

Or something... ?
