In my opinion if there are to be Witnesses there should be Witnesses for and against. I personally don't want to see everything devolve into a perjury trap like it did with white water but if it must with the geese and the ganders alike be sauced. Second point that interfere a trial the jury is supposed to be impartial. I don't think anyone here would think that's the case in the senate or congress. But my point here is that if these guys in the videos are your star Witnesses how much anxiety would you feel if you were the prosecuting attorney? Try to keep it civil. Pelosi thought they really had the goods on Trump over the phone call with the Ukrainian president but once Trump released the transcript it became apparent all those claims from the phony whistle blower were not true. If she would have waited a day or so to see the official transcript of the phone call she would have not have started impeachment proceedings but by then it was too late to turn back. The votes are there for acquittal and there is no chance the democrats would ever get a 2/3rds vote to remove Trump. But........for political reasons the dems don't want Trump giving the state of the union speech having been just acquitted in the Senate. This impeachment was and is all about politics. Just heard Chuck Schumer on tv crying about no witnesses and without witnesses Trump is not really acquitted. Schiff was probably the best lawyer of the entire House impeachment team but that is not saying a whole lot because that was a low bar. Watching Trump lawyers vs the House lawyers was like watching a professional NFL football team playing a high school football team.
