No he's just playing down to your level. You a-holes treat him as a president and maybe he might act more "presidential". After all, "not being presidential enough" is the only thing you pathetic lefties have on this guy. You're just jealous that a non career politician has actually went and done what his career predecessors failed to do.

Trump is a non politician playing the roll of one. So you have this idiot Schumer threatening to "go after" Supreme Court judges then later defending his language by saying he was from the Bronx. But not a peep out of people like you.

Just admit that you would be really going out on a limb to suggest that Pence would have accomplished the same things as Trump.

Again Larry I respectfully disagree. It's like Browns fans who hated Bill Belichick and rooted for the team to lose. In order to show your anger because Trump is something of an asshole you must be willing to support BLM Sanctuary cities massive illegal immigration the virtual end of the Second Amendment even more wasteful public spending higher unemployment and at least a recession.

Not that this Administration has been perfect on any of those issues but remember it can always get worse.

Not to mention supporting the Democrats because you hate Trump also means a Supreme Court Justice who will make Ruth Bader Ginsburg look like John Birch. Also a Democrat president ushers in a Democrat Senate and Congress. And even more obstructive federal judges with no one to check them.

But even though you will be without a nose your face will have been thoroughly spited.

In fact I have posted multiple videos from Fox and multiple written stories from Newsmax, another very conservative news source. You just never like the fact the one's I post try to break through your think head. The fact is I have posted far more from those two than any "liberal" source over the past few months just so I could break through the denseness of the skull to the washed out interiors of some of the Trumpettes.

And I don't stay glued to CNN or MSN. I mostly read all day and go to the football side to see what may be going on. Afternoons I got play racquetball.

Sometimes I even respond to Retarded personal attacks over here. Obviously those are wasted responses on the sender.

If there was anything in that 2 percent that was redacted that could be used against the Trump administration Adam Schiff would have contacted his media pals and leaked it.

ROTFLMAO- Trump's wild success is ballooning the National Debt to an extent that pales in comparison to anyone previous- just to give his billionaire pals a massive tax break. My, how soon you fiscal conservatives have swept that little factoid under the rug.  :D  I'm the last standing fiscal conservative- apparently. Just admit it Cal- tax cuts DON'T knock down the debt- never have, never will.

FWIW, I expected far worse from the MAGA crowd. Regarding the Military- do we really need to outspend the rest of the world on Defense?  To the point our astronauts have to hitch rides from the Russians to the Space Station?  Speaking of- instead of wasting billions on his xenophobic  boondoggle wall, just spend the money and launch him to Mars like the Most Interesting Man in the World- the Dos Equis guy.

Trump is who he is- undeniably has done some good, but some of his crap- I 100% don't agree with. And it's 100% pointless on my part to engage in any discussion with the MAGAs as to why I think he's a phony. And pandering to the grade school crowd.

Now if he does win another term- just hope Ginsburg croaks before the end of it. That's Donald's one saving grace in my book.   It will be pointless should the Democrats regain control of the Senate.

Tax cuts do spur the economy and it is the reason Obama has tried to take credit for Trump's economy. Even John Kennedy recognized using tax cuts as a way to getting out of a recession. Obama had anemic economic growth in his 8 years in office. His promised huge economic growth never happened.

The biggest problem we have is not that we don't collect enough taxes, we are taking in record amounts of taxes. We have a spending problem. It is the democrats who primarily are the reason we have a spending problem. I can't always lay the spending problem on the democrats as it was George W Bush who came into office with little national debt and left office with the country over 10 trillion in debt. Then Obama about doubled that so Trump inherited a 20 trillion debt just from Bush and Obama. Do you remember our republican champion fiscal hawk Paul Ryan? Who was sending Trump those record breaking deficit spending bills to his desk to sign? Yes that was our fiscal hawk Paul Ryan. Yes Trump could veto the bill but that doesn't excuse Ryan. Also the MSM makes sure every time we have a government shut down over the budget the republicans get blamed for it.

Walls work. We either tackle the illegal immigration at the border or we just have open borders (which comes with it's own set of problems). The Mexican govt has never showed any interest in helping the United States curb illegal immigration until Trump came into office. They have thousands of soldiers on the border right now because Trump pressured them to do it. In that sense Mexico is paying for a human wall as they are the ones paying the thousands of soldiers at the border.

I never thought we would have a better president than Reagan in my lifetime and I never expected it would be Trump but as of today my vote goes to Trump for what he has been able to accomplish and it hasn't been easy for him. The democrats and their MSM allies have hurled everything possible at him and his family and he doesn't stop but just keeps on going.

Trump has made me realize how much our politicians both democrat and republican have sold this country out to enrich themselves. Sad that you can't see that. Look at Joe Biden for instance who was our point man in Ukraine under Obama to tackle corruption. Then Biden's son gets the Burisma board gig with zero experience or any reason at all to get that position and was making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year only because he was Biden's son. Then Biden was the point man in China and he takes his son to China so his son can make even more money from the Chinese. Again his son had no business getting this money except he was the vice president's son. Do you think Joe Biden was looking out for the United States best interests or his own family's? These countries were buying influence and Biden was selling it.

Hillary Clinton was even worse with her pay to play scheme as sec of state. If any country wanted a favor then they had to  pay up to the Clinton Foundation where the Clintons were raking in huge amounts of money. Bill and Hillary were raking in at times close to a million dollars for a half hour speech and the countries paying for it were because they were buying influence. They were going to get something for that money in returned favors. When it comes to grifters Bill and Hillary Clinton are the champions.

Then we have Donald Trump and his mean tweets...I can live with it. I will give Trump a pass on his tweets.

In a booming economy it's actually a good time to be "in debt".  It means other countries are investing in our liquid market because they think it's a stable investment.  If they don't invest it our market they'll go somewhere else, which isn't good either.  China owns about 8% of debt right now, would you rather they invest that capital somewhere else?

In a bear market that's an entirely different story.  Your not raising "the debt" as much in a recession because no one wants to buy your treasury notes in a stagnant economy.

And don't forget, 40% or more of that debt is to ourselves.  Regardless of whether all the 20 something y.o.kids decide to "retire" tomorrow, they are not getting repaid for a loooooong time.

A good liquidity ratio is 1 or higher.  We are currently at 1.45

Ideal unemployment rate is 3.5-4.5%.  We are currently projected around around 3.7%

In short, our debt is growing because investors think we can pay it off.  Good debt vs. Bad debt is entirely about timing.

Hoorta -

we have a SPENDING PROBLEM. and a democrat hostile House of Reps, who do the budget.

you want a smaller debt? support giving Pres Trump line item veto over the budget the next time the demo left sends one to him.

support STOPPING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - it's a devastating over time social welfare killer of the chance of reducing our debt.

We have more people working than ever before, more taxes being collected - your democrats keep spending it and spending more and more and more - to buy votes. Which, is why they support wanton illegal immigration.

Pres Trump has the economy roaring, by cutting our taxes and and stupid repetitive unnecessary regulations on business, stock market WAY HIGH (corona hit it a bit), employment all time LOW...

things you complainers only complained about with republican presidents... and still you hate him? for TWEETS?

At the last town hall meeting I just watched? Pres Trump was on the "hot seat" and seems like he won

every single person over - detailed answers, no stupid teleprompter (the left loves teleprompters)....

OH, HOORTA - (from Steve's post - just can't wait for you to read it...lol)

sad news for Pres Trump won the election haters...

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/05/us-trade-deficit-december-2019.html?__source=sharebar|facebook&par=sharebar

Key Points
  • The U.S. trade deficit fell for the first time in six years in 2019 as President Donald Trump hammered China with import taxes.
  • The Commerce Department said Wednesday that the gap between what the United States sells and what it buys abroad fell 1.7% last year to $616.8 billion.
  • Trump has imposed tariffs on $360 billion worth of Chinese imports in a battle over Beijing’s aggressive drive to challenge American technological dominance.

The U.S. trade deficit fell for the first time in six years in 2019 as the White House’s trade war with China curbed the import bill, keeping the economy on a moderate growth path despite a slowdown in consumer spending and weak business investment.

The report from the Commerce Department on Wednesday also showed the Trump administration’s “America First” agenda decreased the flow of goods last year, with exports tumbling for the first time since 2016. President Donald Trump, who has dubbed himself “the tariff man,” has pledged to shrink the deficit by shutting out more unfairly traded imports and renegotiating free trade agreements.

Trump has argued that substantially cutting the trade deficit would boost annual economic growth to 3% on a sustainable basis. The economy has, however, failed to hit that mark, growing 2.3% in 2019, which was the slowest in three years, after expanding 2.9% in 2018.

The trade deficit dropped 1.7% to $616.8 billion last year, declining for the first time since 2013. That represented 2.9% of GDP, down from 3.0% in 2018. Goods imports tumbled 1.7% last year amid steep declines in industrial materials and supplies, consumer goods and other goods. The 1.3% drop in exports was led by decreases in shipments of capital goods, industrial supplies and materials, as well as other goods.

At the height of the U.S.-China trade war last year, Washington slapped tariffs on billions worth of Chinese goods, including consumer products, leading to a decline in imports.

The politically sensitive goods trade deficit with China plunged 17.6% to $345.6 billion in 2019.

The White House has also sparred with other trading partners, including the European Union, Brazil and Argentina, accusing them of devaluing their currencies at the expense of U.S. manufacturers.

The goods trade deficit with Mexico jumped to a record high of $101.8 billion last year. The deficit with the European Union also reached an all-time high of $177.9 billion.

Tensions in the 19-month U.S.-China trade war have eased, with Washington and Beijing signing a Phase 1 trade deal last month. The deal, however, left in place U.S. tariffs on $360 billion of Chinese imports, about two-thirds of the total.

As a result, goods imports rebounded sharply in December, boosting the trade deficit 11.9% to $48.9 billion that month. Data for November was revised to show the gap tightening to $43.7 billion instead of $43.1 billion as previously reported. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the trade gap would widen to $48.2 billion in December.

U.S. stock index futures were trading higher while prices of U.S. Treasuries were lower. The dollar was slightly stronger against a basket of currencies.

Imports rebound in December

When adjusted for inflation, the goods trade deficit increased $4.3 billion to $80.5 billion in December.

Trade added almost 1.5 percentage points to GDP growth in the fourth quarter, exceeding the 1.20 percentage points contribution from consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity.

The economy grew at a 2.1% annualized rate in the fourth quarter, matching the pace notched in the July-September period.

In December, goods imports surged 3.2% to a seven-month high of $207.5 billion, after declining for three straight months. Goods imports were boosted by a $1.7 billion increase in crude oil imports, which contributed to a $4.0 billion jump in imports of industrial supplies and materials. There was also a $1.2 billion increase in imports of other goods.

Economists believe a 15% tariff on $110 billion worth of Chinese goods that came into effect on Sept. 1 had weighed on imports in the prior months. They also say anticipation that the Phase 1 trade agreement would roll back the tariffs could have encouraged companies to hold off on imports in late 2019.

Goods exports rose 0.9% to $137.7 billion in December. They were lifted by a $1.5 billion jump in shipments of crude oil as well as a $1.0 billion increase in exports of other goods. But motor vehicle and parts exports fell $1.0 billion to $12.4 billion, the lowest since November 2016.

At $17.1 billion, petroleum exports in December were the highest on record.

Coronavirus bill overloaded with Pelosi's 'Christmas-tree ornaments,' says Republican who voted against it

https://www.foxnews.com/media/coronavirus-bill-overloaded-with-pelosis-christmas-tree-ornaments-says-republican-who-voted-against-it

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's add-ons were the reason why a Colorado Republican voted against the $8.3 billion coronavirus bill that President Trump signed into law earlier in the day, the lawmaker said Friday night.

"The president asked for $2.5 billion. I would have supported that," Rep. Ken Buck said during an appearance on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle." But then the actions of Pelosi, a San Francisco Democrat, prompted him to change his mind.

"The speaker decided to add all sorts of Christmas-tree ornaments to this bill. It was unnecessary. It was too much money," he said.

With Pelosi and Schumer and the rest of the democrat mob it is always politics 24/7. They want to make the coronavirus Trump's hurricane Katrina but unlike punching bag George Bush,  Trump will fight back.

This republican may be doing the right thing but I would bet Pelosi added that unnecessary spending to the coronavirus bill attempting to get republicans to vote against it. Once on record as voting against the coronavirus bill that would make good campaign ads this fall for democrats running for congress. I hope this republican is in a safe republican district.

You people? It's obvious you don't read. This "people" just doesn't like the fraud. I still vote for my conservative Republican representative. I just will not vote for trump. And as for the alleged TDS, I've had it as far back as when he was a fraudulent Democrat too. I've never liked him or anything he stands for. This is not some new disease that makes you feel better about my negative attitude towards him. He's always been a fraud. But go ahead and buy these $Trillion+/year deficits and try to tell me he's really a conservative Republican. All he did was bamboozle you into thinking the permanent tax breaks for the supe-rich is a good thing. You are easy to fool.
