The man is walking a tightrope. He's doled out enough praise about "the travel ban" in regular doses to keep Trump happy until Fauci's importance was established. Even the answer you quoted was deferential. Listening is not embracing. Is this the body language of someone whose council has been embraced?

I've called Fauci "untouchable", but in the Science interview he may have gone a bridge too far.

And let's be clear this whole thing is a PR moment that pits Super Dave Osborne vs. chicken little.

And still a lil speech2text tuning needed on the rest... but I do agree that less noise/fewer leaks will come out a Biden administration... but it's not a TDS thing it's a style thing.

 sure, probably not many people as arrogant as President Trump while I think Biden will probably listen to his handlers. I think he's more willing to do anything to get the job. But the West Wing press is going to give him something of a pass or at least not be 100% in his face 24/7.

Well reported that Trump loves conflict among his staff... views them much as he did Apprentice contestants pitted against each other. And when you set an organization up that way the losing side tends to grumble... and when you don't know who to grumble to within the office, then you grumble outside it... and that includes reporters.

Fauci? He gave an interview to Science that I am sure he thought would be about science. He should have no commented more than he did.. which was once. But that's not a commentary on his loyalty, it's a commentary on our remarkably thin-skinned President.

Like super Dave vs Chicken Little I think most doctors like to err on the side of caution. My doctors I know professionally and personally. They don't like to say what they think unless they are positive. Trump doesn't give a shit haha. One of the reasons I like him.
