Phil LeBeau, transportation reporter extraordinaire, reported this afternoon that the negotiations breakdown that set Turmp off was between FEMA and Ventech Solutions, the actual ventilator manufacturer that is partnering with GM to make vents at GM's Kokomo, IN plant. As usual Trump has been over-promising. saying for a couple Corona Pressers now that we'll see "large quantities of ventilators very soon". When he heard GM was going to "deliver the first vents by the end of next month (April)" and then "ramp up to more than 10,000 per month" plus that the "negotiations for the vents to be made my GM" had stalled he, of course, took off half-cocked on Twitter. FYI... GM is donating its resources at cost. Well... at least Trump used the DPA like I was ranting about him doing a couple nites ago. Yup he used it... even if it was not used as intended...
