OurReport has gotten shorter. I feel good about Conklin... least good about Carlson. Also suspect Goodson goes, but Njoku???

Quick question for our Defense-minded crew...

What do think of a base approach where Ward covers Hunt Hill all over the field while the rest of the back 7 play zone to limit Mahomes' run impact? Kind of a box and one football style?

tia? SdB? Unsym? Flugs? TCPO*? Others?

Ward chasing T.Hill... Ronnie Harrison chasing Kelce? Goodson assigned to backs out of backfield? & don't turn your head off Maholmes... Baker can't make a day of it, throwing at Mathieu either. Brady got ate up alive, doing this at Tampa.. 

Edit-- with Joe Woods playing "Live or Let Die" in his headsets 🎧

If we assign Ward and Harrison and Goodson then aren't we assigning too many "heads off Mahomes?"

Again...congratulations to you guy for making the postseason and getting that first playoff win a long time.  You guys have suffered a long time and deserve some happiness.

This has all the trappings of a game where Cleveland is "just happy to be here" having won a +5 TO game on the road to get all the monkeys off the back.

That is what Pittsburgh thought.  And trust me....WE here on this board have already written many scripts about what we will need to do in the offseason. Just because you are obtuse and don't pay attention to those threads does not mean they don't exist in mass.

The "reasonable post" score is now 2-2, but they've also been alternating... so we shall see.

Congrats to you for not resting on your laurels. Nothing tougher than a repeat... except a 3-peat... and then a ...

Could be that "happy2B" is our take since we are playing with "house money" and all....  but "what do we have to lose" is at least equally likely so we could wake up "feeling dangerous."

As for the off-season... we already know what we need to do. We probably had a pretty good idea as soon as our 90-man roster was set. So no need there for any KC input, thank you. "The articles"? They started months ago.

 

Now about your "late leads in every game" post...

It basically comes down to turnovers and penalties. Both teams can score a shit load of points, but it'll come down to the extra possessions. Chiefs are among the lead best in preventing turnovers, but Browns are pretty good at not only causing them, but cashing in on them with big points. Are the Chiefs a better team? Yeah, I think so. Chiefs have the best player in the world at the most important position...that's a huge advantage. 

The funny thing is, the Browns are actually a good team. They're not just happy to be there...they're a comprehensive good team. They score multiple ways, they're very tough on 3rd down, and they're absolutely NAILS in the red zone, which happens to be the vice for the Chiefs (last in the league). Again, are the Chiefs better? Yes, I believe so, but I don't see a gigantic talent gap here. Heck, if Browns had OBJ and Vernon, it'd be VERY close indeed. 

Let's not pussy-foot around here, the Chiefs have some big time studs that are almost impossible to stop when clicking. Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill are terrifically frightening, and the way they can put points on the board is virtually unprecedented. If there's 30 seconds on the clock, they can score. 

Everybody knows that you don't blitz Mahomes. Good news for the Browns is they don't tend to blutz anyway. Chiefs have a hurt OL, and Mahomes does tend to hold onto the rock. Myles Garrett has been getting into better health lately, and it would not surprise me in the least for him to have a couple of sacks. Mahomes does some crazy things with the ball, things we never see from others, but Garrett is different and can close the gap very quickly. 

I see penalties playing a HUGE role in this game. If Browns don't get flagged for holding, and they got away with a couple last week, they're going to be able to move the ball and they will finish with 7. If holding calls rear their ugly heads, you could see some punts on the Browns side. 

Chiefs probably should win this game, but I'm going to be a homer here. Chiefs could be rusty and Browns are as healthy as they've been all year. Browns 36, Chiefs 33. In a hell of a game.

Any given Sunday.. but this Sunday... 24 teams get to sit this week out .. 👉 but NOT, little all us! :)

Our defense is capable of letting us hang around, allowing mid 20's ?.. While were also capable of giving up over 40 to a team like this ? ...

Some might say "first team to 30 wins"? Others.."Who has the ball last" ? 

 Like so many... What are we waiting on! Tee it up 🏈

fairly certain it will be some type of zone..  I'd be in favor of taking the middle of the field away (see Falcons).. Homies overdue to hang a cherry picker outside for 6...
