I would’ve loved to get a job in the trades when I got out of high school, but there were no positions available.

Now all these lazy asses want to do is sit around and play on their phones all day from the comfort of Mom’s basement.

Too early to determine but I would guess that gen Z is going to make the Millennials look like hard workers. And again I think the problem started with boomers. The World War II era generation that actually lived through the depression and the war wanted to give their kids more than they had which I believe made us, the boomers, unnecessarily soft and less responsible.

- Steve, also greedy and shortsighted

- Love a good "old man yells at cloud" story

- Funny that this board has a history of certain members complaining about celebrities that are on the left but then they'll forget all of that if the celebrity helps the right

- These tech layoffs will pass

- More people absolutely should go into skilled trades out of high school. College isn't for everyone, skilled trades are in high demand, and they can make a lot of money

- But spare me with the constant "kids are lazy" stuff. Going on for all of human history. If someone can use their brain to make more money than skilled trades, and they don't particularly enjoy skilled trades (or maybe aren't even good at it), then why should you get angry that they didn't choose skilled trades?

- Yes Mike, it is anecdotal. You don't just have to call it that.

- I'd love to hear what that contractor is actually paying his guys. Aren't conservatives all about the free market? If workers are choosing a different career than these entry level skilled trades then shouldn't those skilled trades positions make themselves more attractive on the job market?

welfare fraud, etc fraud....is growing. People using their brains to NOT have to support themselves, and just live on the gov. They vote socialism. They do not care. And your post was repetitive.
