Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable.

In 1979, (that would be 44 years ago) the world high temperature was 16.92.  That makes 17.01 a whopping .09-degree increase.

That would be 9 hundredths of a degree for those who can't grasp numbers very well.
