but...according to the woodpecker - "those illegals are just here to have a better life"....

as in,

a better, richer bunch of people to rob from. they ran out of those in mexico......

We have been having sheriffs telling citizens to ccw, arm up, etc, because America isn't safe like it used to be.

I'm one of those citizens. Straight from the sheriff and deputy.

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2022/10/31/violent-crime-is-a-key-midterm-voting-issue-but-what-does-the-data-say/

Republican voters are much more likely than Democratic voters to see violent crime as a key voting issue this year.

Older voters are far more likely than younger ones to see violent crime as a key election issue.

Annual government surveys from the Bureau of Justice Statistics show no recent increase in the U.S. violent crime rate.

https://www.heritage.org/crime-and-justice/commentary/crimes-illegal-immigrants-widespread-across-us-sanctuaries-shouldnt

Key Takeaways

Non-citizens accounted for 24 percent of all federal drug arrests, 25 percent of all federal property arrests, and 28 percent of all federal fraud arrests.

In 2018, a quarter of all federal drug arrests took place in the five judicial districts along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Politicians who declare their jurisdictions to be sanctuaries for illegal immigrants who commit crimes are needlessly endangering their law-abiding citizens.

now, notice the giant INCREASE in illegals and crime (biden regime - is the difference)

https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/cbp-enforcement-statistics/criminal-noncitizen-statistics

Arrests of Individuals with Criminal Convictions

The term “criminal noncitizens” refers to individuals who have been convicted of one or more crimes, whether in the United States or abroad, prior to interdiction by the U.S. Border Patrol; it does not include convictions for conduct that is not deemed criminal by the United States. Arrests of criminal noncitizens are a subset of total apprehensions by U.S. Border Patrol.

You're statement "America isn't safe like it used to be" is false. Crime has gone down since whatever time you're reminiscing about.

Posting an article by a rift wing think tank that doesn't source most of its info doesn't change that

And it's pretty damn clear what you really liked about the past...

So I posted a legitimate current issue promising not to use sources not approved by Hoorta and he remains a no-show.

My theory is that he is overwhelmed by Biden and democrat/liberal policies, corruption that are tearing this country apart. Uses Cals and Vambos views and media sources as a convenient excuse not to face the music.

Your contentions support your intentions, but you fail in regard to retentions.

When it comes to violent and property crimes, these cities rank highest per capita consistently, with between 109 – 214% higher crime occurrences than all of the other cities in Ohio. Other areas you should avoid include Whitehall, Dayton, and Logan."

Good information there, except you left out the black population which reflects their attitude in the original post.

Black voters are particularly likely to say violent crime is a very important midterm issue.

Black Americans have consistently been more likely than other racial and ethnic groups to express concern about violent crime, and that remains the case this year.

Some 81% of Black registered voters say violent crime is very important to their midterm vote,

I suppose we are veering away from the actual subject matter, but that's OK.

Whether or not the crime rate in general has declined or increased is not really the issue. This has to do with consequences of democrats position on illegal immigration.

A decrease in the crime rate doesn't mean it's acceptable for people who don't belong here to commit crime.
