Lets pretend that he isn't reliable in the early going (at least). Felton has been playing a lot in the preseason so far. As has Kelly. Felton has been winning that battle with production....but we've seen him in the regular season....and he's just not that good as a pure RB. Hall is a rookie that fumbled last week. And Wilkins has been in the league since 2018 but only has 13 carries in the last 3 years. We all know that Chubb is our RB. But it's a position that takes a lot of hits. Who do you want to come in and spell Chubb, or even replace him in the middle of a game? (again, assuming that Ford's hammy isn't right early on) I think that we've gotta roster John Kelly. Neither will need to shoulder the load and will likely just get a handful of touches in a game. Because they had drafted Ford, and Hunt had a somewhat off year, there was really no chance of that. Unless nobody singed him and Ford (or Chubb) got hurt. I wish him well. The Browns felt that he lost some speed...but I watched the games last year and it was uncanny...every time he came in the game and got the ball it was like the OL forgot how to block. There were always guys all around him with nowhere to run. That's what I saw last year. I'd betchya that he's better than Ford.
