So, we've got a 4 game data set...but it's skewed here and there.  Chubb was a factor in these numbers, and we no longer have him.  Watson was coming around when he decided to do his Chubb impersonation.  And now we're not sure about his ability to play.

The '16' number is not so sweet.  4 sacks per game.  Rookie RT.  Right side struggling in pass pro.  LT is only marginally better.

The defense has the potential to be stellar.  But they need Garrett and Smith in there on the DLine.  They can't get hurt.  Our secondary is doing a good job but it's because of teamwork, their coverage and DLine pressure so that the DB's don't have to cover for too long.   (#1 against the pass.....but only 1 INT)

Obviously the turn over ratio is a glaring number.  We're turning it over almost 2 extra times a game.  In the damned Steeler game we spotted them 14 points.

I think one of the keys to making this a good season is the OLine play going forward.  Somehow, Callahan needs to hit on something that works.  Be it style of play or personnel, he's got to wring more consistency out of the front 5.  The skill positions rely on the OL.

We're 2-2 (2-3 after the 9'er game).  We're capable of winning games.  Let's see if we heal up during the bye and come out with a solid game (win, lose or draw) against the 49'ers.

These 1/4  pole numbers are indeed a bit  "skewed"  especially since BROWNS  lot the best RB in the NFL.

Oh and at least temporarily have lost the services of their starting quarterback  who was a key part of this 2023 program.

Should be an  "interesting"  3/4  run in the  AFCN the rest of 2023.   Restart in  WEEK 6 !

What I think you're saying is the Browns could probably find an upgrade at Left Tackle as easily going to an "All You Can Eat Buffett" or just a local fast food drive through.

The Browns invested a guaranteed 230 million $ contract in a QB only to set him up with the worst blind side tackle in the NFL.  This is the total opposite of leaving 10 time Pro Bowl Left Tackle Joe Thomas stranded in Cleveland without much talent at the QB position.

So, we had an interesting discussion/debate about the back-up QB situation today that I clearly lost.  I couldn't stop walking right into that DADBLASTED 8 million $ salary Washington threw at the well experienced Jacoby Brissett in Cleveland's offense.  I know it's a moot point right now but our FO should have put together an extension during last season to retain this guy/before his mind got too ambitious.  And why?  1) Not only is our Left Tackle the worst in the NFL - rumor has it the CFL is pissed we didn't rank their Left Tackles ahead of Wills too. The plan to stick with Wills guarantee's the type of shot Watson took vrs TN that Neo shared. If anyone doesn't believe that, I have land for sale in Alligator Alley.  2) Our 230 million $ man has already injured the shoulder of his throwing arm in the 3rd game of the season causing him to miss the 4th game and possibly more. Sounds like Brissett is missing his 1st opportunities for game action in 2023. 3) Right now there isn't 1 experienced backup QB here to prevent more forcing a 5th round rookie QB out there with game plans he isn't ready for from a very questionable game planning committee to begin with.

Wasn't this supposed to be a save thy ass at any cost kind of season here?

Depot thinks he is bulletproof with Jimmah.

I hear ya Aggies. They have 2 weeks to prepare for a SF team that plays Sunday Night before they lose time travelling to Cleveland and 3 more hours to the time zone change.  That should be an advantage for the Browns.  This game should tell us a lot about where this team is headed this year,
