Hopkins & Garrett might also be our Co-MVPs.

When I hit the show more - Garrett was the only other guy that made the list above.  Just 2 weeks ago this was a 7-3 team...

And neither one is a quarterback ..... for a big change !

thats funny, I still have one of his tee shirts

Believe it or not, our punter Corey Bojorquez is having a pretty good year.

After 12 games, he's tied for 4th in the NFL with Gilkin averaging 50.1 yards per punt.  That said, he's had 60 punts to Gilkin's 40 punts.  He's got 19 inside the 20 yard line to Gilkins' 7.

Heaven help us - I just posted about punters.

Could be worse, you could be posting inane threads about who pays a contract when a player gets hurt when the Browns are in the middle of a playoff run.

Can't say but I bet he has a better olay move than Wills has even if Corey's is on purpose.

Wills' replacement has been a steady surprise lately...Would love to see him keep the position...

I’d be kinda curious to see a tape analysis on it. I don’t wanna comment that Christianson has been equal or better than Wills since I actually don’t know, but the high level the o-line has been playing well lately

Wills was eligible to return from IR this week but the browns didn’t designate him for return, probably next week.

The light has to go on for Wills like now...

But yes he's solid gold  alright !

●-->    With 3:15 to go in the game, K Dustin Hopkins — in his first season with the Browns — made history. Hopkins accomplished something that no other player from the Browns had ever done.

Hopkins set a new Browns record with 31 made field goals in a single season. The previous record of 30 field goals was set in 2008 by K Phil Dawson.

The kick came after Hopkins didn't have a field goal attempt through three quarters, which was the first time this season the Browns didn't attempt a field goal through three quarters. Cleveland Browns Stadium got quiet as he attempted the 55-yard field goal. Hopkins received the snap and kicked the ball right down the right side of the goal. The crowd exploded and cheered for Hopkins, who extended the Browns' lead to 31-21 and became the record holder.

●-->  what a deal !   The Browns traded a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Chargers to acquire Hopkins on Aug. 28. Hopkins eventually replaced second-year K Cade York, who struggled during the preseason and was eventually waived by the Browns.

When Hopkins joined the Browns, there was belief from the coaching staff about his level of talent and what he would bring to their kicking game. Hopkins has done just that – plus more – through 13 games this season.

●-->   This has been a career year for Hopkins, who made his career personal best with a 58-yard field goal in Week 7 against the Colts. In that same game,

■■--> Hopkins set a new NFL record for five consecutive games where he made a field goal of at least 50 yards.

■■-->  Hopkins is also 8 of 8 in 50-plus yard field goals this season.   Outstanding !

  • mjp28 changed the title to ★ Dustin Hopkins to the Pro Bowl

That difficult 55 yarder from the right hash was the game winning points.  Not interested that we technically won by 4.  It took the FG out of the Jags game plan at that point.  Hopkins has been VERY important to this team's success to this point!

These awards are a crock anyhow. JOK, Delpit, Ward, Emerson, Myles, Bitonio, Cooper, Walker, Tomlinson, should also be pro bowlers along with Hopkins. And there may be more that you could argue a pro bowl spot for.

A crock anyhow ?  The thing is  (some)  players do NOT want to risk  (further)  injuries now on these awards,  would  you do it ?   They have a good point here.

It's not like in previous years when you would  "play for the sheid" and all of that.   Again would you do it ?   They have a good point here.

It's NOT A CROCK it's a legitamite point and award the Pro Bowl,  the best of the rest  it's too bad that in a  "game" where the injury rate is so high that it's not worth playing and risking getting an injury  is just too  high  to play.

It's NOT A CROCK except maybe unless you're a kicker.    It is a good award for Hopkins,  regardless of those other guys you named.

Simple enough ?   Hopkins a 2023 Pro Bowl kicker - GREAT !

Is a crock because there are guys that deserve the award or go to the Pro Bowl but don't get votes. Other guys I missed Corey Bojorquez and Ethan Pocic that probably won't make it either. If all the guys I listed don't make it then it's a damn shame. Not saying Hopkins doesn't deserve it, I'm saying the other guys deserve it too.
