In full retrospect, the only thing that is very true is that a player shouldn't veto the coach in that situation. He called the kneel down and that should be the play ran. It sends the wrong signal for sure to not be on the same page, even in that situation.

It jcan't emphasized enough how much the "mini" bye week is going to factor into this game. To get two full weeks of rest given the nature of this season may (hopefully) service clutch for a playoff run. Yep- the quiet part out loud is Joe could easily have 3-4 more INT's than he does now. At this point, you just gotta hope it keeps going the right way because it's hard to imagine his mentality is going to change.

I candidly don't give a shit about the "etiquette" of scoring in particular when it comes to the professional level of any sport. These dudes get paid millions and millions of dollars to play defense, maybe just stop them instead. In lower levels of the sport? Sure, but to act like Arthur Smith did because grown men getting paid are getting their asses whipped is just dumb.

To be honest, Pitt making the playoffs doesn’t bother me at all. The Bills are a dangerous team right now and if they lose to Miami tomorrow having pittsburgh instead as a potential opponent is much better.

Yeah, I'd definitely disagree that Tomlin isn't a top coach. It sucks, but the teams the Steelers have fielded post Big Ben have been well below average and to achieve a winning record is a tip of the cap. With that being said, the playoff record is going to catch up to him to your point. 4 straight losses in the playoffs going back to 2016 and the last two weren't even close games.

Put simply, I don't see why he'd get reps over any of the guys in Ford, Hunt, or Strong. Don't forget that Pierre is on the special teams unit and unless I'm sorely mistaken Dalvin ain't lining up for kickoffs. I personally also think Strong in limited action has looked pretty decent. The only scenario to me that makes logical sense to me is if they believe in the 2ish weeks Cook provides an upgrade over Hunt, which I don't see personally. I suppose if he'd be willing to sign to the PS it'd be a super good upgrade if someone goes down, but I doubt that what's he looking for.

This video does a great job too: https://twitter.com/JeffDLowe/status/1736916481097822528 I don't agree all of them are egregious, but the first three (and especially the first two) are an absolute embarrassment. Not only is it an absolute tragedy, but Garrett could get seriously hurt with the nonsense these guys are getting away with lately. It makes my blood boil man.

As much as this all sucks, I'll tell you one thing. The depth at face value of our tackles next year is going to be well above average with the amount of playing time these dudes are getting. Obviously it hasn't been ideal but I also don't think the now 4th and 5th string dudes have been abysmal either. -
Absolutely- if you believe Vegas he has the 12th best odds: https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/coach-of-the-year/ Honestly, COTY has most years turned into a bit of a popularity contest. I think Dan Campbell is a great coach but I simply don't believe he's a stronger candidate given their roster and division.

The Browns literally took a 38 year old QB off the couch to be the 4th QB to start. This season we've beaten the following teams, all of which would be in the playoffs if the season ended today: - Steelers - 49ers - Ravens - Jaguars - Colts - Bengals (who I get are on the outside but right there) and are in the drivers seat to be a playoff team this year. Despite this, some of you clowns are still suggesting Stefanski isn't an extremely quality head coach. It's like you all forget the days of Pat Shurmer looking like he saw the face of God on the sideline every week. The fact Kevin isn't a serious contender for COY is crazy to me.

It's absolutely wild they won a single game with him as a QB. To be honest, watching some with the Panthers I thought it was a definitely "could be worse" 3rd string QB situation. But man- this dude should not even sniff the league. I don't think I've ever seen a guy with less pocket awareness than PJ, it's insane how blitzes just blow that man up. It's all about lessons learned, and this FO I'm confident understands now that the backup situation can't be trusted to later round drafted rookie and (insert) random dud journeyman. Really sucks to think that Dobbs or Brissett (a longer shot, but I'm guessing would have re-signed with a lucrative deal) were right there. I've always understood the thought process- DTR balled out in the preseason and there's a very, very strong chance if we didn't commit to him on 53 man roster he would have not be a Brown. But the biggest hindsight was letting Dobbs walk.

Yep- despite the 3rd string dude in again, it was absolutely a game (and should have been tied) until the Moore fumble that was completely self- inflicted. Zero percent chance of winning games with this squad with that type of mistake. I was actually at a wedding so didn't watch this game, but to be honest this one "is what it is". I know a lot of people had this as a "must win" a month ago, but the Broncos are arguably the hottest team in the NFL and Denver is a notoriously tough spot to visit, let alone with a rookie QB. Still got multiple winnable games on the schedule (Rams, Bears, Jets, and Bengals) that making the postseason is still right in front of the team.
