  1. 'Uge difference between nuclear fission and nuclear fusion, bub.
  2. At this point, it's looking like we're sanctioning ourselves into the stone age, not Russia.
  3. At this point, I hope the meteor lands on my house.
  4. And you could die slipping on a banana peel while walking out of your front door in the morning. I try not to worry about things that are out of my control.
  5. As long as it's not compulsory or favouring one religion over another, then it should be protected speech. Can't wait to see the Right's reactions when Muslims do salat on the 50 yard line after a game, or when fringe religions like Scientologists or Satanists do the same.
  6. This recession will be much worse than the 1970s. One reason is that the US Government debt to GDP ratio from 1975 - 1985 was between 30-40%; the debt is 124% of GDP today. Another reason is that, even with the higher interest rates back then, housing costs are dramatically higher today: The Fed is going to have to raise interest rates dramatically like Volker did in the early 80s to curb inflation. Imagine today's housing prices, but with 1980s-like interest rates and greatly reduced purchasing power of today's dollar. I stand by my prediction. This is going to be a recession worse than anything since the Great Depression.
  7. Personally, I predict that this will be worse than 2008. Probably the worst recession since the Great Depression. Just because dope fiends and crackheads die everyday, that doesn't mean the dealers and pushers go out of business. Likewise, just because shitty politicians occasionally leave office, it doesn't mean that there won't be fresh faces lining up to get their fix of PAC money. Nothing changes until the money in politics is drastically curtailed.
  8. I don't smoke, and I quit dipping awhile back. Now I just use those Zyn pouches, which is essentially a nicotine salt with no tobacco at all. I'm sure they'll be coming for those soon as well
  9. Baby boomers aren't exactly the benevolent leaders kept in power by a grateful electorate that they make themselves out to be; they are still in charge simply due to the numbers game. They are the largest voter cohort. As such, I don't expect them to quit leaching out every nickel they can to benefit themselves to the detriment of the country and future generations until they've literally died off enough to where they're not the largest voting block anymore
  10. I'm in the camp that a majority of these accusations are probably a money grab. But the fact that Watson settled doesn't help his case, suspension-wise. Looks like it's the Jacoby show this season.
  11. Well Watson's rub n' tug stats far exceed Mayfield's, probably.
  12. His personal war against Bernie Kosar was pretty memorable.
  13. Regular unleaded is $5/gallon and rising, there's food and basic goods shortages, housing becoming priced out for average people, proxy war with Russia, highest level of illegal border crossings on record, etc. But, hey, at least we don't have any mean tweets anymore.
  14. I own the G3. It's a great handgun for the price.
  15. A sizable portion of the people protesting on both sides could stop bird shit in mid air, so they're in no danger of getting pregnant in the first place.
  16. Because elections are reflective of the will of the electorate. That's they way they work. Vote with your feet. Why do you suppose there's a mass exodus from states on the west coast to other states like Florida and Texas? Because the politics and governments in those west coast states have become so untenable that people are leaving.
  17. Contraceptives is plural, meaning that there is more than one type of contraceptive, and that multiple choices can be used simultaneously. Look, I don't believe personally that abortion should be outlawed outright, like some conservatives believe. But I also strongly believe that abortion should be like the left used to advocate for: safe, legal and rare. Many on the left today have morally degenerated to the point where abortion is the first contraceptive choice, and even advocate being able to get an abortion up to the moment of birth. At a certain point, we have to stamp down that kind of lunacy.
  18. Excluding the rare (>%1) of pregnancies in the US from thing like rape, incest, etc, most pregnancies are entirely preventable. Contraceptives are inexpensive. Not fucking without protection is entirely free. At a certain point, we have to reinstitute the idea of personal responsibility when it comes to sex, instead of having unlimited and unrestricted abortion on demand, like many on the political left are now advocating for.
  19. Technically speaking, the Space Shuttle Orbiter was an electric vehicle. It was powered by fuel cells that used oxygen and hydrogen to generate electricity, with water being the main byproduct. And the Space Shuttle's main engines also used liquid hydrogen and oxygen as fuels, again with water vapor being the main byproduct.
  20. This movie is another masterpiece from Sensei Steven Seagal:
  21. Clueless Jackson went 3-36-1 when he was the Browns HC. My question is, if they were doing a tank job, then how did Greg Williams go 5-3 in the last half of the year with the same players that Hue had? And, if he was such a good coach that was being told to tank by the Browns, then why didn't any other NFL team offer him a HC job after the Browns let him go? Why is he not in the NFL anymore and is instead coaching the University of Phoenix Online team or some other fuckin' Division 2 team?
  22. I turn 36 this year. I've never owned a house, and I figure if I can't get one by the time I'm 40, it's just not going to happen. Housing prices are fucked. I'm seeing rundown hunks of shit in the heroin neighborhoods of cities in my area going for as high as $100k; houses barely above the threshold of being condemned. Everyone I know that's currently looking for a house keeps saying the same thing: they put a bid in on house after house, only to see corporate investment firms like Black rock swoop in and buy for like 20-30% over value. Middle class Americans can't compete with that.
