  1. Andrew Goddamn Berry after hearing that the Browns were out of the running for Watson:
  2. Time for Jarvis to come back home.
  3. BAH GAWD!!! THAT'S DESHAUN WATSON'S MUSIC!!!
  4. Atlanta is another team that has been actively courting Watson. The difference is, Matt Ryan has wisely remained silent throughout the whole thing and hasn't been writing "poor me" letters on social media like Baker has. At the end of the day, football is a business. Watson is a far more talented QB than Baker and the Browns were smart to pursue him. Baker can be butt-hurt all he wants to be, but the Browns hold all the cards on whether they want to trade him or not. I'm not mad at all for the Browns trying to improve the team and make a winner.
  5. Cleveland Browns releasing wide receiver Jarvis Landry in cost-saving move Not unexpected, but still a bummer. Sometimes this business is a cold calculus. Dude balled out the whole time he was here and never complained. Thanks for helping to start the culture change around here, 88. Hope you land on a good team (unless it's the Ravens or Steelers)
  6. Watson would be an upgrade over Baker, but it's a moot point since the Browns can't afford him: Browns are over the cap after picking up Cooper's contract, and there's no way Berry would gut the team to clear enough cap space to pick up Watson.
  7. I mean, Trump did withhold $400m in military aid from Ukraine in 2019, so I'd say this is a multi-administration failure on the Ukraine question.
  8. Excellent addition by the Browns. Now all we need is a QB who can throw and a HC who's game plan doesn't hate WRs and we should be good to go.
  9. It's one thing when average Joe says that; it's an entirely different matter when a sitting US senator and representative of the US government openly says that. He just made a bad situation worse. He should resign.
  10. NBC News: Sen. Lindsey Graham defends calling for Russians to assassinate Putin What a fucking totally insane and irresponsible thing for a sitting US senator to come out and say about a leader of a nuclear-armed country, especially with tensions running so high.
  11. This aggression by Ukraine is small potatoes compared to the global chaos that will happen when, not if, China invades Taiwan.
  12. US and EU sanctions would be negligible; Russia wouldn't have invaded Ukraine if it didn't have certain economic assurances; assurances, I would think, that come from China.
  13. I have a golf trip scheduled for this spring in Nashville; I'm not too concerned about constitutional carry people.
  14. The body cam video doesn't show that the gun was ever pointed at the officers. It was pointed at the ground. Simply having a gun is not a justification to kill someone. We have the right to keep and bear arms in this country.
  15. Except Amir Locke didn't point the gun at anyone. It was aimed at the floor the whole time. His finger wasn't even on the trigger.
  16. Do you have loaded guns in your house? Do you keep a loaded gun in a nightstand in your bedroom or somewhere within arm's reach while you sleep? If so, then I guess the police are free and clear to unload on you in your bed if they come into your house then
  17. The elapsed time from when SWAT breaks into the house until they shoot Amir Locke was 9 seconds. Locke was woken up from sleep in the middle of the night by armed men yelling and screaming at him while pointing guns at him. Locke was legally allowed to possess a firearm; body-cam footage shows that he was using proper discipline by not having his finger on the trigger and he didn't even point the gun at any of the officers. Even the no-knock warrant didn't list Locke as a suspect or POI. There was no justification for the police to shoot him, but they killed him anyway. Police handled this situation about as poorly as possible, and they should be held civilly liable for his death at the least, if not criminally.
  18. Bodycam video shows Minneapolis cop fatally shoot Amir Locke in no-knock raid I don't agree with BLM overall, but this kind of shit is what helps fuel the anger that drives organizations like BLM. This shooting was completely unjustified and the police should be held liable in this kid's death. No-knock warrants should also be outlawed as well.
  19. It's like you're in high school again and you found out your younger brother finger-blasted your crush. There's literally no scenario on how this Super Bowl plays out where the Browns fans can have any sort of happiness.
  20. ...I'm going to be pissed either way. Either the Bengals win and put the Browns firmly into the basement of the AFC North for the foreseeable future, or the Rams will win and OBJ will get a ring. Short of seeing the Ravens or Steelers in the Superbowl, this pretty much is is the worst matchup possible. Baker Mayfield, Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry should be ashamed of themselves.
  21. I would've respected Baker alot more this year if he shut it down for the year after 1-2 games after he got hurt, at the most? Would we still have sucked with Keeum playing instead of Baker? Maybe, maybe not. But by Baker being stubborn and playing while he's obviously hurt bad, he cost us several games. If he would've shut it down and had surgery earlier, he'd be well on the road to recovery and had ample time to prepare for the '22 season and nobody would really have much to burn him for. All he accomplished by being stubborn and playing through the injury was that he got himself hurt worse and hurt his team.
  22. If Baker doesn't ball out next year, he's done. Browns were better in almost every position and coaching than the Bengals this year except QB [edit: and WR] and the Bengals are in the Super Bowl while Browns nation is sitting here talking about "what if".
  23. For sure, the northern half at least. Alot of good party spots near Cincinnati are actually in Covington and Newport. Open carry alcohol is a thing there too.
  24. I live in the Cincinnati area, so I'm happy for all my family and friends who are Bengals fans that they got to see their team make it to the big dance. It also pisses me off that much more that the Browns blew it this season, because we went 2-0 against the Bengals.
  25. If I could swap out my Honda for a Ferrari it'd be a no brainer for me as well, but unfortunately for Berry and myself, reality has a pesky way of snuffing out pipe-dreams.
